A crucial bridge linking Russia and Ukraine has caught fire in a spectacular explosion in a suspected attack by Ukraine as the country cuts of supplies to Russian forces.
A train carrying fuel erupted in flames on the crossing, built by Vladimir Putin as a key link to the territory he invaded in 2014.
The only bridge between Crimea and the Russian mainland has been vital to the Russian military for supplying Putin's war in Ukraine.
Ukraine has previously threatened to target the bridge and has been damaging Russian logistics in recent weeks.
Footage of the incident appear to show a truck exploding on the road section of the bridge as it drives towards Kerch in Crimea.
It was unclear if this may have been a suicide bomb in a truck but there have been no reports of incoming missiles. Some witnesses claimed there were two explosions .
A voice on one video is heard saying: 'It seems to me there were two explosions, no? -- If it was a missile, it would hit the second [rail] bridge too in any case.'
There were suggestions Putin may address the nation on the bridge explosion amid fears he will unleash havoc on Ukraine.
He has already hinted he could use nuclear weapons in the war with Ukraine.

Its not that far from the road up to the rail bridge - sufficient explosive power and maybe some fuel with it would do and obviously did create a large enough fire ball to ignite the fuel cars.
The only way out is by ship.

Looking carefully at this image, there are actually 4 spans significantly damaged or destroyed.
3 spans dropped in one direction, and 1 with very significant structural damage in the other direction.
As well, someone knew when the loaded tanker cars were going to be on the rail bridge.
“Why are there so many pro Putin people on FR?”
I believe there are four groups of people in that camp.
The first are those who are Russian, or are of Russian descent. These include paid provocateurs. A subset of these are actually Chinese assets being paid to stir the pot. But most are simply acting out Russian chauvinism. These individuals are fairly easy to spot.
The second group represent extreme conspiracy theorists who are opposed to anything Biden does, no matter what it is. These are people convinced that a shadowy hidden hand drives all world events, that Putin is the savior of Western civilization. He is pure and uncorrupted, while the Ukrainians are the devil incarnate. These are the ones touting the “bioweapons labs” in Ukraine. Notice how that’s all but dropped off the radar? I wonder when Putin’s going to release all that proof as those Freepers promised?
The third group are the antisemites and homophobes. They hate the NWO because Soros backs it and he’s a Jew. Zelensky is a Jew therefore he’s bad. Zelensky is a magic Jew to boot, being both a member of the Tribe and a card carrying member of the SS simultaneously. Many of the neo Confederates on this board share similar antisemitic views. When they mention “New York banking interests” causing the Civil War, what they’re really referring to of course are Jews.
Woke culture promotes LBGTQ interests and above all else some people simply cannot abide homosexuality, in an almost Old Testament way. Look how many times the Young Putineers reference “GloboHomo” and no, they’re not referring to global homogenization.
Finally we come to those contrarians who always have secret knowledge outside the mainstream. They see black where things are white, and vice versa. They will tell you the Beatles we’re talentless hacks, that New Coke was a clever marketing ploy to boost sales in the long run. To them all traditional news sources simply make up reports of any Ukrainian success. And they’ll never admit they were wrong. How could you admit you wasted your money when the bomb shelter you built and the 18 month supply of freeze dried food never gets used? For these people Armageddon can never come too soon. There’s one infamous poster here like that, you know the guy who loves maps and enjoys posting the same graphics over and over again.
Of course several people probably belong to two or more of these groups. But all in all it’s a very motley crew of Young Putineers.

The route through Crimea is the primary remaining route for the military logistics efforts to supply the troops in the south. The Russians are now isolated from resupply

Excellent analysis. Although we may have a couple posters not extreme conspiracy theorists who still oppose anything Biden does, even if it falls in the “stopped clock right twice a day” category.
I might also propose a couple more groups.
5th group: People who are start off as isolationists and don’t much like anything the US does outside of its own borders, while Russia should be allowed to run rampant. This morphs into sympathy for Russia and inability to see the bigger pictures of both current events and history, as well in some cases expression of actual approval of harm to the US / US allies, or approval or rationalization of actions of bad actors such as North Korea, etc.
6th: Those who genuinely think / feel Russia should be allowed to run amok so Pooty doesn’t act on his nuclear threats — never mind that such a course guarantees huge nuclear proliferation by just about anybody capable, and that is in turn in the long run a practically guaranteed Armageddon.
