Grady Judd is what call sheriffs should aspire to be.
Even Swiss cheese is fine.
Love that man!!!! Not enough Sheriffs like him!!!!!
Sheriff Grady Judd is a National Treasure.
I think he means swiss...
I knew a Sheriff like that once.
I lived way back in the mountains at the time, surrounded by the National Forest. A lost hunting dog came to my cabin and I took it in while I looked for the owner. One day, three young guys came to the cabin in a ratty old truck. She wouldn’t let them out of the truck.
I called the Sheriff and asked him if he knew the boys and if he knew anybody that had lost a dog and I describe the dog. He said yes, he knew about both and he would be right out. He showed up later with the owner of the hunting dog. The owner said it must have been meant for the dog to find me because she hated everybody. He said she and her ancestors were bred to hunt indians way back in time. He said she was half Bulldog and half Black & Tan hound. She was almost put down for attacking a man that was threatening him. She was his “hog dog” and had the scars to prove it.
Anyway, the Sheriff told me that if the boys came back and got out of the truck, to shoot them. He asked if I had a gun and I said that I had several. He said to kill them on the spot but do not let them get out of the truck and to the house. I asked, “don’t they have to be in the house for me to shoot them” and he said “no, kill them, call me, and somebody will come out to drag them in the house and fill out a report”.
Either way, they never came back but I sure did miss that dog.
I have seen Judd on You Tube a few times. He is cool.
10yrs ago when I was in class for CCL, the county prosecutor strongly advised the class, if you are going to draw your weapon, shoot to kill and make sure the perp is DEAD. His reason given “Dead Men Tell No Tales”. Also, said makes his job easier. My kind of Prosecutor and Sheriff.
“they look âlike grated cheese.â
Sorry Sheriff, but I do not have that much ammunition to spare. Swiss Cheese, maybe, but not grated.
Oh wait! That is in Florida.
We are not having a looting problem in Arizona..... At this time.
Since this man happens to be my sheriff...
The dark humor side of me started silently singing, “Baby Swiss doot doo do doot do doo, Baby Swiss doot doo do doot do doo...”
But this is serious stuff. Polk County FL’s main difficulty is not violent crime, though it happens here of course, but widespread substance abuse. The major industries that used to hire strong-back-weak-mind people (phosphate mining, orange groves and production) have mostly gone out of business; most of the mines have closed, and most of the groves have become suburbs-of-Disney.
The result is a plurality of the population who are incapable of jobs-requiring-thinking and who can’t find laborer work, filling their time with booze, weed, or meth—comprised of people of all races, evidence of the Bell Curve at work. Other than getting religion, there isn’t much that can be done. But the usual suspects (BLM, Antifa) only exist on the college campuses, and don’t have the foolhardiness to go looting.
To be fair, Polk County deputies spent much of the last week in Lee County with Ian; we had our own hurricane area, primarily in the south of the county, which is practically all rural, so Lee County needed them more, and there unfortunately they were finding looters.
THIS is why we have the Second Amendment. It isn’t about the National Guard or huntin’. It’s about protecting your family and your belongings. Shoot the bass turds.
Not Velveeta...think Swiss cheese
and then feed them to the alligators
A homeowner on Sanibel Island, FL found a local reporter combing through his destroyed house and business for personal memorabilia (picture albums, etc.) to use for a story when he technically was not even allowed on the Island. Will the Lee County Sheriff do the same thing to him?
Glad I live in Polk County.
What a sheriff.
When FBI came to town Grady and his deputies took them out to lunch.
Grady and deputies joined hands to say Grace.
FBI said they werenât allowed to say Grace in public.
Grady said, âFellows, youâre in Polk County now. Everybody says Grace.â
In my county several years ago a couple of young men were shot and killed outside of a store they were trying to break into. When the sheriff arrived he drove over the blood spots, back and forth. When the SBI arrived to investigate, there was nothing for them to see.
We have a lot of great sheriffs in Florida.
As it should be.
If a sheriff had said something similar in California, he’d be immediately fired and brought up charges of hate speech and inciting violence.
HUGE Grady Judd fan here.
