We were legal residents of Germany for decades, now happily returned to these sometimes divided states. Keeping in contact with many of our friends and associates across Europe, NONE of them have “signed on” to the mess going on there. The gambit — as we have seen with Clinton’s “deplorables” and Biden’s “domestic terrorists” — of the Green Left screaming “extremist” is wearing thin in Germany, as in the UK, France and Italy. It has already worn thin in Hungary, as the unelected EU has threatened “member states” when they don’t do as told by the new dictators. This will be a most interesting time in the North of Europe as winter comes to call. “Frohe Weihnachten” and “Happy Christmas” and “joyeux Noël” will have a distinctly different flavor this coming season.
