What an idiot. IT WON’T WORK! For example, the new Cadillac EV will have a reported cost of $300,000 and a range of 300 miles (which means 150 miles unless fully charged. Batteries will blow up, we don’t have the grid, etc. But idiocy has taken hold of Washington.
The liberal goal is not to force people to drive EVs. The goal is to force most people to move into high density apartments in democrat controlled cities and ride mass transit. Then rich liberals can ride around in their $100K EVs and not have to sit in traffic.
No way could Americans afford an EV. As they now exist, they take too long to charge, the batteries are pieces of crap and we need to charge them at night, after work. One huge problem is we don’t have the energy infrastructure to deliver the electricity it will take for the millions in charging mode.
Who voted for this? Where is Biden’s mandate to cram this down our throats?

China—— Their mostly tiny EVs are fueled by coal and hydro. So not a bad idea for their congested cities with their stop and go traffic.
America -— We have abundant oil to make into gasoline and diesel for our ICE vehicles. Hybrids make sense. EVs are for vanity and for household’s second automobile.
By that time everyone will have figured out it is faster to get there on a Mule.

If she really wants to accelerate the use of EV’s, why isn’t she mandating the Entire Dept of Energy,all employee’s, be fossil fuel free, including all travel, ban ICE vehicles from ALL Federal Property...
