A Methodist Health System officer shot and injured a gunman in the Methodist Dallas Medical Center Saturday, ending a threat that had already resulted in two deaths.
ABC News reported an individual shot and killed two hospital employees around 11 a.m. Saturday, prompting reports of an active shooter in the facility.
Methodist Health System-affiliated police responded and an officer found the suspect and shot and injured him.

A good guy with a gun? It was an armed officer, not a private citizen. Very misleading.
If they didn’t report it, it didn’t happen. If something else didn’t happen and they did report it as if it did, it did.
I worked at a hospital in an urban area.
We had a policeman on site 24x7. We had security as well, but they did not carry.
While firearms on site were against the rules, I knew there were a few folks who had firearms locked in their desks.
In hospitals where there are regularly a lot of crazy people…you need to make sure they don’t kill other patients.
A paroled violent felon wearing an ankle monitor and carrying a gun. Someone’s got some ‘splaining to do.
You are correct. Good guys with guns are PROHIBITED from bringing firearms into hospitals.

With modern GPS, why can’t those with ankle monitors be actually monitored by someone so that if they leave their restricted area an APB goes out and they are arrested and never given the opportunity to be monitored again- automatic jail?
Seems like it would be easy to do.
Good Guy failed to administer a Taxpayer Relief Shot, which means that the perp will have all his medical bills paid, and the state will bear the cost of his imprisonment.

The felon was allowed to be at the hospital for the birth of his kid.
Don’t know what set him off, though.
It’s never been reported on so it couldn’t of ever happened.
He should not have been allowed to do that. Tough $hit - don’t do the crime if you don’t want to do the time. He can wait at home until baby momma gets back.
