“No code checkins are allowed.”
He’s trying to make sure the employees aren’t going to sabotage the system. There will be a source code management system, check a module out, make code changes, check it back in. He’s trying to leave any current code changes sitting outside the system.
The left is going to find out that their coders are 20 years behind.
You mean you can’t just sneak in with a floppy disk, download the entire code, change it, and reload it?
Things have changed since 1993.

I have a feeling that’s been going on behind the scenes for at least a month in anticipation of the takeover. Probably someone’s been designated to flip a dead man’s switch as he walks out the door.
Smart move on Elon's part. It will also give him a list of the best developers at Twitter. The Tesla guys will rate the quality of code produced by each developer and the hacks will get the sack.
It will also be interesting to see if he can prove fraud on the part of higher ups as to the Bot account issue. He may be able to go after them personally and claw back some of the golden parachute they received
Yes...but when offending code is identified,i.e. stiff that implemented the bias ..the person who checked it in can be identified and perhaps fired!
