13 step 10 here. Not LEO. Will go over 100k with Jan 1 COLA. Damn glad I decided to go Fed and military when it was still an honorable thing to do...in 1961. When America was still America.
There are very few people in government that actually do anything positive. Most get paid only to make things difficult for people in the private sector that build something of value. We are approaching a time when there is going to be massive unemployment. Government employees need to share in that pain because they are the cause.
I have a feeling that we’re gonna be the first state of the Union which will file for bankruptcy - the way Detroit did. We are so screwed, and those of us who want to get out and can’t are the ones who are going to suffer. I used to be able to put away at least a little bit of money every month, but now I can’t. I’m literally down to my last $25, and it has to last me at least another 2-5 days.
Yep. It’s gonna be interesting.
Typically, a gubmint job goes from base to top of the scale in a relatively few years, and people tend to stay in them until they reach (often early) retirement age. IOW, most of a given classification are at the top.
Well yeah but think of what their lifestyles do for the state’s economy! New car sales, mansions, security fences, the list goes on and on.
100,000*132,188=13,218,800,000
Government Employee unions will be the death of the is country......................
Government Axiom 1a - civilian government employment exists to ensure a middle-class lifestyle to otherwise unemployable Americans.
Very sorry about your state and predicament. Most of us will be in the same boat soon.
