The United States' declining diesel fuel reserves will worsen the fallout from Russian President Vladimir Putin's decision to end participation in a grain deal with Ukraine, retired Air Force Brigadier Gen. Blaine Holt warned Monday.
In an interview on Newsmax's "Wake Up America," Holt said the dwindling reserves are akin to throwing "a few more logs on this fire," and will have a wide effect in the United States.
"We are down to somewhere between 20 and 25 days of strategic reserves in diesel fuel," he said.

What’s the latest on the diesel supply and stock? Prices haven’t changed much so I imagine it’s not as bad as they report it?

Sounds like the issue is really with NE heating oil.
What’s the problem? Just start drawing on the SPR and send the crude to all the refineries that Brandon permitted for construction, expansion, and maintenance. After all, the SPR was created for just such a national emergency.
Shouldn’t be a problem for a bold, can-do nation like the USA with a strong leader who loves the country.
Diesel is $6.50 in CA.

Below normal stocks are an alert for the near future, and consumer prices are now higher than they should be, so this won’t reflect in higher prices until there are wait times for delivery of diesel to consumer filling stations.
The supply chains, now supported by the fleets of Diesel trucking firms, already under severe strains, will grind to a halt one by one as the truckers must stand down due to lack of fuel.
