No,hers would be a recreation of the glorious days of the German Democratic Republic. If you have some free time check out the film “The Lives Of Others”.It’s a great film about the ugliness of East Germany.
Went through Checkpoint Charlie about 60 years ago this month (WOW! I must be getting older) with my Mom on a tour. As a 15 year old it didn’t take more than a few seconds to understand the evil that was in place. Guess what I see now right here in the U.S................... Same evil intent. I still have a map (now laminated) of Berlin showing the barbed wire and dividing walls layed out across and around the city.
