The man charged with attempted murder in connection with a violent hammer attack against House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s husband, Paul Pelosi, is in the United States illegally and could be deported to Canada, federal agents said Thursday.
Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents said DePape entered the United States as a temporary visitor in March 2008 at the San Ysidro port of entry. Canadians who enter as temporary visitors generally do not require a visa, officials said.

If one looks at the charges, he committed at least 3 or 4 felonies. One of which being Aggravated Assault, the result of which required Pelosi to undergo some legit surgery.
Why are they not prosecuting him? Why is an illegal alien, living in a sanctuary city and state being deported? Shouldn’t he get his day in court?
Someone on Fox said that any deportation would have to be post trial for his various accused crimes. This article would contradict that.
