The digital euro may have spending limits

Fabio Panetta, an Executive Board Member of the European Central Bank (ECB), has proposed that users of the digital euro should only be allowed to spend €50 per transaction and have a maximum monthly spending limit of just €1,000 if they want to avoid having their transaction data recorded by the ECB.

The digital euro is the European Union’s (EU’s) proposed central bank digital currency (CBDC) and officials involved with the project have already confirmed that it will have less anonymity than cash.

Digital currency is a trap.
They can force you to spend your money by xxxx and if you don’t you lose it.
Extreme example but digital currency is bad voodoo imho.

...way to make it popular! Control transparency of spending over 50 Euros? lol.

When will Europeans realize centralized planning and control is just communism wrapped in a different flag?

"...only be allowed to spend €50 per transaction and have
a maximum monthly spending limit of just €1,000..."

.

With inflation going the way it is - folks will be able to go
out and enjoy a 'European' breakfast once (maybe twice) a month.
But only if they don't 'splurge' on extra toast.

. . . maximum monthly spending limit of just €1,000 if they want to avoid having their transaction data recorded by the ECB.

So, just how would they know you exceed €1,000 unless they track and record every transaction up to that point?

I have wondered at what point citizens of Western Countries will rise and revolt, hopefully peacefully but with violence if necessary.

When Digital Currencies become reality, there is no going back at that point, it would be time to take up arms and fight, because freedom and the country itself would be gone and it won’t come back without a fight.

Is Fabio Panetta and other members of the ECB going to abide by the same rules?

Coming soon to everywhere.

If I was still here I would become a bootlegger and contribute to the black market. Can discretely buy brewing ingredients. Would certainly be caught but I aim to misbehave anyways.

FJB and the WEF.

This might be where arum notes come into play. Nevada, Utah, New Hampshire and Wyoming have issued (gold) aurum notes that are considered legal tender in those states.

The denominations are $1, $5, $10, $25, and $50.

Internationally, some countries are issuing them, too.

The note contains the fractional gold within it.

You cannot drive far in your electric car, cannot charge it fast, pay very electric high rates, cannot use natural gas, cannot own a portable generator, cannot use a/c and cannot fight back against crime and cannot vote as your vote either don’t count for who you want as in Alaska or fake ballots are used to cancel it.

Now you cannot spend above a certain amount of money as determined by the politicians.
