Sen. Tom Cotton (R-AR) nominated Sen. Mitch McConnell for reelection as GOP leader after a motion to postpone the leadership election was quashed during a Wednesday meeting among members of the conference.
The motion to postpone the Senate leadership election failed by a reported vote count of 32-16. Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) put forward the motion, which Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) supported.

Any organization that has words like “International” or “Global” in its name of mission makes me nervous these days.
Probably saving the bulk for his presidential campaign. I certainly hope so.

McTurtle, along with Hoeven and Collins, was among the few GOPers who got dirty FTX campaign $$$. How long before he’s forced to resign? He and CCPChao are almost as corrupt as the Klintonz.
McConnell will do nothing substantive to fight the Left. McConnell is to strength as Fetterman is to intelligence. He needs to go.
Shame on Cotton for propping up the idea that seniority somehow makes the best leader.

FTX gave Mitch 2.5 million and they all voted for the money that went to Ukraine and Ukraine “Invested” propped up FTX. Mitch just told him, we are all going to get shot for treason if the truth about our grift comes out. Tom said, “Mitch, you are in fact a handsome and powerful man.”
Apparently he comes from a wealthy and politically connected family in Arkansas. Son I’m betting he’ll support whoever his daddy tells him to support.
People were talking about this puke as a contender to Trump. Scum. Name the other prices. Trump is going to be the nominee because at the end of the day this is how all the politicians act. Mitch has a 7% approval and this is the leader of the party?!?!?
What about DeSantis. Why doesn’t that coward stick HIS knock out for once? What about Tim Scott. The GOPe is pathetic and I for one couldn’t be happier that they did not win a majority in the Senate
And yet they blame Trump for there not being a red wave.

No law held him back. Trump was simply stingy about using his PAC to support candidates, even with McConnell pulled funding. They own the result—failed election.
