Former Vice President Mike Pence says in his new book that he was angry, not frightened when a mob of Donald Trump’s supporters broke into the Capitol chanting for him to be hanged on Jan. 6, 2021.
The 63-year-old Pence’s memoir, “So Help Me God,” was released Tuesday and is the first full recounting of the Capitol riot in the former Indiana governor’s own words.
“They had come to protest the result of the election and to prevent Congress from fulfilling its responsibility to open and count the Electoral College votes,” Pence writes of the rioters. “And, as I later learned, many had come looking for me.”
Pence, who had remained loyal and refused to criticize the 76-year-old Trump’s raucous leadership style for four years, adds that he reached a breaking point that afternoon when he realized the president’s “reckless words had endangered my family and all those serving at the Capitol.”

It is true that the MAGA crowds came to protest a genuine stolen election. The crowd got out of control because outside troublemakers were injected among the peaceful protesters.
Pence should know that he was supposed to delay the certification until irregularities were cleared up; two sets of electors from the same State were present. Asking the VP to pause the count of the electoral vote in order to resolve issues connected to two sets of representatives from a State is NOT overturning an election, or preventing Congress from fulfilling its responsibility.
Did Pence mention that the National Guard was authorized by President Trump? And that it was refused by Nancy Pelosi and Muriel Browser? Why did Nancy have her daughter film the event? Was Pence a part of the conspiracy to frame Trump?
I do not know what Pence is trying to prove with his faulty book.

The New York Democrat described how her concern over threats has affected her life during an appearance on Friday’s edition of CNN’s “Who’s Talking To Chris Wallace?”
“Do you feel your life is in danger?” Wallace asked.
“Absolutely, I felt that my life has been in danger since the moment that I won my primary election in 2018. And it became especially intensified when I was first brought into Congress in 2019,” Ocasio-Cortez responded.
Wallace pressed Ocasio-Cortez for more details, asking if that meant she was “looking over [her] shoulder while walking down the street.”
“It means when I wake up in the morning, I hesitate to walk my dog. It means when I come home, I have to ask my fiancée to come out to where my car is to walk me to just from my car to my front door,” Ocasio-Cortez responded.
“It means that there’s just … a general disposition where you kind of feel like there’s almost a static electricity around you. And you’re just always just looking around, your head is just on a swivel, going to a restaurant, walking down the street,” she added.

I think he is a type who has a repressed set of strong urges that may emerge under stress someday. Some criminals who were “straight as a die” “his sermons were so inspiring to us” or “we in the congregation never would have guessed.” turned out to surprise people.
Also he is the type who played second fiddle to the brilliant, highly successful and outgoing Type A Trump and had to be thinking “why him and not me? I followed the rules quietly.”
