Much like the “leaks” claiming Trump had “TS/SCI nuclear weapons documents”, we can be assured there will be a steady stream of “leaked”, aka PLANTED stories coming from the DOJ about horrendous crimes the Special Prosecutor has “discovered”. They don’t need to convict Trump, just damage his campaign. Later, we will learn none of it is true.

I guess Trump won the foot race to this line. Now there will be several “deadlines” between now and Election Day 2024.
This allows the “Special Prosecutor” to leak crap throughout this process and Biden gets to say, “I’m not doing this…”. It allows them to subpoena a candidate for President, parade him through the process, and then ultimately indict and try him.
This is the worst kibd of political crap.
They are trying to force Trump out soon. That way there is time to get Biden out of the way, The Dems need Biden to beat Trump. But Biden can’t bet anyone else. If Trump hangs on until next December (for example) and then gets knocked out…the Democrats are screwed. They won’t have time to get a decent candidate to counter whomever the GOP has in the wings.
I don’t mean this as a “never Trump” poster; but rather from a political strategy point of view. I’ve stated I won’t vote for either of them as they are just too damned old. So I am just sitting on the side watching.
