He wasn’t soundly beaten. The election was stolen.

I'd be singing a different tune if Trump's picks won. If Masters won. If Lake won. If Walker won. If Oz won. If Mastriano won. If Dixon won.

But they didn't.

Trump's hand-picked candidates were rejected every critical battleground state he will need to win if he wants to be re-elected.

And now people are trying to tell me that all of these elections were stolen too!

Well, maybe we should stop nominating the one guy who constantly gets his victories stolen from him?

Say what you want about DeSantis or Youngkin. At least they can hold on to their wins and prevent the Democrats from stealing them out from underneath them, something Trump, according to many here, clearly is incapable of.

“can you provide evidence of that or are you just pulling it out of nowhere”

um, Trump was POTUS did more than he said he would to save the Republic.

“Only Donald Trump has so far dared to put his personal security and freedom on the line to denounce what D.C. has become, and only Trump has risked impeachment, indictment, and incarceration for fearlessly speaking the truth.”

So all you gutless, worthless, half-witted dunce cap wearing leftist propaganda mean tweet eatin’ pick a RINO who can win Freepers, did you catch this?!

6 thing your Freeper says that proves they’re a complete douche:

1) Trump needs to step aside and let somebody else have a turn
2) Someone needs to shut Trump up
3) Trump’s time has past
4) Trump rubs me the wrong way
5) Don’t forget about Trump’s liabilities
6) I’m a douchebag

After all this time, the author and many posters on FR still don’t get Trump.

For example-
“it would be uncharacteristic for Trump to allow his grudges to get in the way of his clear self-interest.”

If only...

The GOP lost those races so people like you would turn on Trump.

It worked on you. That’s sad.

You fell for a scam.

You should feel like crap.

You should be angry with yourself.

Might consider an alternative, like say not being influenced by leftist propaganda.

Only Trump can save this Republic.

From a personal standpoint, the best thing that could happen to Trump is that DeSantis becomes President. That would at least end the witch hunts.

They would simply cross out Trump and overwrite DeSantis on all their papers and daily talking points.

witch hunts will only cease when the ptb are disarticulated.

The Whig Party took that name because they were opposed to King Andrew I (Andrew Jackson), just like the Whigs of the American Revolution had been opposed to King George III.

The term Whig goes back to 17th-century England where it was used of the supporters of Parliament against the Stuart kings (it was originally a term referring to Scottish bandits, just as Tories were originally Irish bandits).

A better analogy may be 1912. Teddy Roosevelt believed that the nomination was unfairly denied him and ran as a third party candidate, ensuring Woodrow Wilson's victory.

A lot of people think Perot caused GHWB's defeat in 1992 but I don't know if that can be proven.

Having Trump back in the White House in 2025 would be good for the country but I have little confidence that can happen--nothing has been done to prevent voter fraud in Pennsylvania, Arizona and other states which were stolen in 2020. Trump may very well be the nominee in 2024. If he isn't, I'm afraid he will run as a third party candidate--his ire against whoever beat him for the nomination would override his determination to get the Democrats out of power.

We don't owe the nomination to anyone, even if his name is Trump. Roosevelt didn't get it back then even though he was the POTUS. Things change quickly. Unfortunately, Trump failed to prove to us that he has a plan to win in 2024. So he is dragging the Republican Party (and the country) down with him.

In 1912, Teddy Roosevelt was no longer President--Taft was President. He had won the nomination in 1908 only because of TR's support. Taft won the nomination in 1912 because he had the advantage of incumbency.

Taft was a Progressive Republican like TR but without the personality--it was said that TR was like a Fourth of July celebration and Taft was like the day after (when everyone is exhausted). Taft was selected to carry out Roosevelt's policies--TR's supporters said that he was carrying them out--on a stretcher.

So different from the current situation where Biden is doing his utmost to reverse all of Trump's policies (just as Trump did his best to reverse Obama's).

That's what it would be like if Pence became the POTUS today.

Nice factoid.

Here's one for you. America had a government before the current Constitution was enacted.
Articles of Confederation

ARTICLES OF CONFEDERATION

While the Declaration of Independence was under consideration in the Continental Congress, and before it was finally agreed upon, measures were taken for the establishment of a constitutional form of government Thus a Constitutional Republic was created, not a democracy.

Even back then they knew...

ARTICLE V. (in part)
Freedom of speech and debate in Congress shall not be impeached or questioned in any Court, or place out of Congress...
Two things, not one.

Don't forget this...Lee Resolution (1776)
After fighting broke out in Massachusetts in the spring of 1775, the King declared the colonists "in a state of open and avowed rebellion." For the first time, many colonists began to seriously consider cutting ties with Britain.

Oddly similar to today...Jim Jordan: Joe Biden ‘Excited’ About ‘Going After Parents’ with ‘Domestic Terrorism’ Letter, ‘All About Intimidation’

“We know from the NSBA-commissioned report that the White House did not object to or otherwise discourage the NSBA from asking the President to use the Patriot Act and domestic terrorism statutes against America’s parents—a request of which the President said he was ‘appreciative,’” the letter continued.

*46 hasn't gone full Mad George, but he isn't far behind.
He's got the mad part down well anyway.

Or, perhaps, Fancy Nancy and her J6 group would be more akin to stating Americans are "in a state of open and avowed rebellion."

JMO, YMMV

Unfortunately, Trump failed to prove to us that he has a plan to win in 2024.

Did you see and hear the same announcement speech I did?

Former President Trump announces 2024 presidential bid Transcript

Two years ago, we were a great nation, and soon, we will be a great nation again. The decline of America is being forced upon us by Biden and the radical left lunatics running our government right into the ground. This decline is not a fate we must accept. When given the choice, boldly, clearly and directly, I believe the American people will overwhelmingly reject the left’s platform of national ruin and they will embrace our platform of national greatness and glory to America, glory. I am of the opinion that the speech was his platform, just like when he announced in 2016.

It sounds like the goal is to, once again, give the American people the choice, boldly, clearly and directly, to go in two different directions with open eyes.

Sounds like a plan to me.
