Hi.
I would like a Republican House speaker to rule the House like Nazi Pelosi did, but without the drunken theatrics and drooling.
5.56mm
Russia Russia Russia.
Worth the risk if you ask me. McCarthy is RINO scum. He will stab us in the back. I dont care if the dems win it. Unless we do it differently, nothing will change.
Any “deal” giving minority Dems subcommittee subpoena power just allows them to keep on demonizing Trump/DeSantis and others via sham investigations.
Do whatever is necessary to avoid this outcome.
Same argument when all we have on it’s for is the RINO.
Vote for the sh*tty Republican otherwise the Democrat will win.
MTG must have been promised something big of she’s going all in for McCarthy. Shame.
As a fellow Texan, I agree. They play a lot of games here due to corruption in the Republican party. I think we all know the American system of democracy is a failed system, at least in the 21st century. Going through the motions.
So just maintain the status quo of McCarthy and the rest just rolling over?
Republicans don’t have that strong a majority and guaranteed there will be more than a few that will vote with the democrats.
And just wait until the next CR/Omnibus comes up. The Democrats will get everything they want, to include student loan repayment. Otherwise they’ll make the republicans look like devils. So many will cave, easily.
BINGO. We have nothing to lose.
Pelosi will still be running the House in January. She’ll be the power behind the throne with jefferies as her mouthpiece.
sadly, the republicans ae self-neutering.........
“Just nominate and elect Donald Trump.”
Nothing would have been more satisfying than watching Trump snatching the giant gavel right out of peelousy’s hand
If we want a more conservative Speaker, we need to elect enough conservative members so that they are a majority within the GOP caucus. As of right now, that isn't the case, and McCarthy got the most votes. So either we support McCarthy, or we get someone worse.
The RINOs apparently are willing to vote for whomever gets the majority of votes within the GOP caucus. But if other Republicans are not willing to do that, and there otherwise isn't a majority to elect a Speaker...what's the alternative?
The "elect who we want even if we don't have a majority within the caucus" approach taken by some members of the Freedom Caucus is the problem.
“It’s pretty obvious Brietbart has become a GOPe mouthpiece.”
Still publishing to the right of National Review, but — yeah.
Kind of a Bush-era establishment rag.
In such a scenario, concerns are rising that so-called **moderate—or establishment Republicans**—are willing to band together to make a deal with the Democrats.
Such a scenario is possible we’ve seen it happen before democrats know who’s wallet to rub first.
LOL
So these stalwart “Conservatives” want us to jump in behind
McCarthy so we won’t lose our mojo?
And what happens when McCarthy rules as a RINO, conceding
every argument to the Democrat’s mindset?
Isn’t that a RiNOist thing to urge?
I like Greene and I’m glad Hageman won, but I don’t agree
with them here, and I think that if our guys in the House
agree with them, we lose.
Fight for what is needed folks. Don’t become another
“give up” Republican side of the House.
Consider the source. Unfortunately Breitbart is not always a friend.
The Whig party only existed for 23 years, and there are already many, many, many, third parties.
“There are over 420 registered political parties in the United States of America, with many different blends of political viewpoints. However, there are only two nationally recognized political parties, the Republicans and the Democrats. Most of the other parties fall under those two political parties with variations, or under other ideological umbrellas, like Progressive, Libertarian, Conservative, Socialist, Communist, etc.”
Only Jesus will get us there.
Well, McCarthy won the GOP nomination to be speaker in the recent vote of GOP membership.
= = =
“McCarthy won easily, 188 to 31, over Rep. Andy Biggs (Ariz.), ... in the internal conference meeting.”
30 of those 31 need to vote for Kevin in the whole house vote.
Will they? Probably a LOT of dealing/promising going on out there.
