The Chinese government is warning of an impending crackdown on protesters opposing the country’s “zero-COVID” approach to containing the coronavirus as protests spread.
China’s Central Political and Legal Affairs Commission released a statement Tuesday saying it would “resolutely crack down on infiltration and sabotage activities by hostile forces” following rare protests that have become the largest in decades.
The protesters are pushing back against China’s policy to try to keep the number of COVID-19 cases in the country to as close to zero as possible. This has led the government to consistently order widespread lockdowns throughout the pandemic, often for entire cities.
China’s policy has helped to keep COVID-19 cases lower than in many other major countries, but experts have said that it’s unsustainable.

I think China may actually be in trouble and I’m not sure Taiwan will play any role. China may implode just through mismanagement and too much tyranny.

Nobody in the Chinese government is so stupid not to realize the virus will be with them for another 100,000 years or more. Zero cases?? What are they smoking?!
No, this crackdown has nothing to do with “zero Covid”, rather it will be to insure the Communist party doesn’t lose control as the country is coming apart at the seams. At some point the critical mass of crises will be reached, and many thousands will be massacred. Then order will be restored and Xi can continue on his merry way. Worst case scenario of course. Best case is he will be taken out and reform made possible at last.

T Carlson reported and showed a short video of what he labeled as ‘tanks’ in the streets of a city. But they looked more like small APCs that tanks - no long gun, in fact the video was so bad it, I could not tell if there were even any sort of machine guns or 20mms mounted.
Which is why I hate all of this drive-by Chinese analysis that is more hype than fact.

The money generated by the millions of daily tests now supplies 1.3% of China’s revenue.
The trouble with the massacre theory is that it would have to happen in every university, every city, every town, every village all across China. You’d have to have local police, PAP, and PLA units killing their own families to be successful.
It was the PLA that was donating to Al Gore and sending arms to California ports for gangs...
They run Chinese companies.
They send troops from other provinces to quell things so that the troops do not have to face that choice. They used rural troops at Tianamen Square.
They only have to have one big example to get the point across. To scare the monkeys just kill a chicken in front of them. They will get the message, like Pelosi was doing with J6.
