Just yesterday, Elon Musk revealed devastating internal Twitter emails that prove what conservatives already knew: that the social media giant was actively working with the Democrats to control the flow of information during the 2020 presidential election.

Musk, Twitter's new head, tweeted a link to the account of journalist Matt Taibbi, who posted a thread of tweets including screenshots of emails from Twitter employees.

Taibbi's tweets refer to an email sent on Oct. 24, 2020, showing Biden's team asking Twitter to "review certain tweets."

There is a reply to a previous email that the Tweets had been "handled."

Scanning my area “newspapers” this morning, I see zero coverage of the Twitter story.

IMHO....you have to have a plan. Mine is simple and basic. Biden is the illegal POTUS who so called won election by cheating from A-Z!!! Therefore, Democrat, Joe Biden should be removed from office with all his appointed staff an d Donald John Trump should assume the POTUS which he truly was elected to be such, by the American people!!!

IMHO.....both McCarthy & McConnell...the GOP low life, must go...be gone forever!!! There are literally tons of decent, capable, women & men that can do their jobs with loyalty, honor and truth!! “AMEN”!!!

According to Taibbi they were also working with the Republicans. They just knew more Democrats so they got more requests from them.

99% Democrats, 1% Republicans.

Nothing more routine in a scandal involving malfeasance in campaign finance , etc, than that “both sides” profited - 1% R, 99% D.

“The Keating Five” scandal comes to mind (I’m old). Some number of pols got ensnared in it, the four worst offenders being Democrats, and - I doubt not at all - the sixth one (and most likely the seventh one) as well. But in the media it was “five” - because that was how far down the list you had to go to find a Republican.

And they will, until they get to DC, then like those before them, will voluntarily undergo a spine removal procedure at Walter Reid.

Twitter’s behavior is recognizable as uniquely scandalous only because it supposedly - and, originally truly - was a free speech platform (and got 1A protection as such).

But of course Twitter’s behavior wouldn’t have been of much import if the MSM hadn’t been holding up their (despicable) end. I mean, Twitter was and still is relatively novel - but the MSM has doing business for a long time. THAT was and is the real problem.

The linchpin of the MSM is the NY Times Co. v. Sullivan decision, which has prevented politicians from suing for libel since 1964. Sullivan was unanimous, but historically unprecedented and wrong. It claimed that 1A affected libel law, but historically that was a ridiculous conceit. In the founding era modifying libel law would have been controversial - and the whole point of the exercise of enacting the Bill of Rights was to suppress controversy.

1A didn’t create freedom of the press, that was already common law. It only is in the Bill of Rights to reassure the public that it wasn’t changed. As

Amendment 9:
The enumeration in the Constitution, of certain rights, shall not be construed to deny or disparage others retained by the people.
makes plain, it is to be understood only as a floor under our rights. It was impossible to enumerate all rights, because (like all of the rights enumerated in 1A thru 8A) they were common law nowhere comprehensively compiled. E.g., in order to write the Heller decision, Scalia had to do a deep historical dive into what the “right to keep and bear arms” actually entailed in the founding era. And even the best he could do, it wasn’t likely possible for him to nail that down precisely in a way that would have been entirely uncontroversial in the 1790’s. Again, suppressing controversy was the whole point of the BoR.

Trump is suing for libel, I forget which MSM arm. But IMHO the right approach would be to sue “the Associated Press and its members, joint and several liability.” We don’t want FR to be paralyzed by fear of libel; and we don’t care if DU (does that still exist?) isn’t paralyzed by fear of libel. What we do want is for the MSM to have to respect the truth. And not to be respected as multiple independent journalisms when they are joined at the hip by the continuous virtual meeting which is the AP (and any other wire service).

Your kidding right they are not in the business of truth they are an arm of the democrat party for the most part they are in the business of opinion to sway events.

I disagree not at all. My point is that if Trump (or any Republican) could realistically sue the MSM for libel and collect serious money - which is what common law allowed/provided for in libel law. Pace the Warren Court, 1A did not intend to, did not, change that. The present 6-3 SCOTUS, which overturned Wade, presumptively would overturn Sullivan if given the right case. And the business model of the conspiracy known as the MSM would be devastated.
