Banks should fund community development in Black communities, support the education of the next several generations of Black students and take other steps to atone for the role they played financing and supporting slavery in America, witnesses told a House committee hearing organized by Democrats on Wednesday.
The House Financial Services Committee held a hearing on "The Role of Financial Institutions in the Horrors of Slavery and the Need for Atonement," which could be the final hearing led by Chairwoman Maxine Waters, D-Calif., before Republicans take control of the House in January.
William Darity, a professor of public policy at Duke University, said the slave trade was a major contributor to the growth of the U.S. financial sector, and said slavery is why Black families are so far behind White families when it comes to household net worth. Darity said a 2020 study says the average White household net worth is $840,000 higher than net worth for Black families and said bridging that gap would be expensive.

When will the Democrats atone?

The primary cause of lower net worth among black families is --- hedonism. More single parent families among blacks (a natural result of hedonism) = lower net worth. The same with starting the "parenting" at earlier ages (i.e. a teenage momma with a new born makes a lower wage than a mid-20's momma with a new born because .... wait for it ... people make more money as they get older).
...and continued support to this day. There is no western institution more racist than the Democrat Party, the party of the Ku Klux Klan.

Most currently existing banks weren’t in existence during the Civil War. I know mine wasn’t.

If blacks would stop chasing the carrot on a stick they would do a lot better with Republicans after all they are the ones that freed them not the democrats.

I lived in Korea for five years in the 1980s. I noticed how how hard they worked and never complained. After the Korean War they were flat on their back. Since then they have become a prosperous First World nation. They don’t look for hand outs. They just perform.

Already done. More than a century ago. Present day negroes need to man up, put their hats on forward, get their pants off the ground, and take responsibility for their own lives. Their abject failure as a culture is their own fault, nobody else's.
This will eventually lead to the descendants of Confederates to be made to “atone” for the sins of their ancestors. This is all about political power and revenge and will only guarantee the further disintegration of this country.
