Miami's Mayor Francis Suarez (R) this week urged Elon Musk to relocate Twitter's headquarters from San Francisco to his city.

Driving the news: "[Elon Musk] it's TIME to move @twitter headquarters to Miami. It's not about politics, it's about the soul of our country," Suarez tweeted.

The big picture: Suarez has been ambitious in trying to lure Big Tech to his city and he has been in communication with leaders of several tech companies.

If I were a betting man, the closest thing that I can think of as a “sure thing” is Musk ditching S.F. as Twitter HQ.

I could imagine Miami become the next financial center of the US. NYC could, however, retain it’s title as America’s most vermin-infested city.

San Fran Mayor Breed is probably being pestered snf begged to give Elon Musk a hard time since he has taken over Twitter.
If she pushes too much, this harrassment will come at a cost of reliable income and property taxes for her city.

Isn’t this Austin story still just ‘rumor’? This started back in April and has never gone far.

Move it out of San Francisco but don’t put it in Miami.

Put it in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. Put it in Paducah, Kentucky. Put it in Hamburg, Arkansas.

Yes, the fact that those are relatively smaller towns in red states will horrify the Wokeratti.

Good.

That’s exactly who you don’t want to hire and want to push out if they’re already at Twitter.

South Florida has the most hurricanes. Why would you want the financial center there?

A lot of good choices. Boston, Dallas, Houston, San Jose for starters. I don’t think those are woke or dangerous places. And do have reputations for techies living/working there.

Bossier City, Louisiana would be a good place. The US Cyber Command is located there.

Axios, of course, brings up the “bed” investigation.

taxpayer-funded ABC Australia has had beds for staff on late/early shifts for at least 60 years that I know of, but they found space for the “bed” story. no doubt BBC does also:

8 Dec: ABC Australia: Former Twitter staff say San Francisco offices are being turned into bedrooms as Elon Musk prepares new verification system
By Brianna Morris-Grant and wires (Reuters)
The BBC reported San Francisco’s Department of Building Inspection was investigating potential violations, as the headquarters is registered as a commercial building.

Department spokesperson Patrick Hannan told the Washington Post they wanted to make sure the building was “being used as intended”...

ABC search results for “Twitter” - ONLY ONE STORY MISSING - THE TWITTER FILES I, II AND III - no space for that, and I haven’t heard a word on BBC either:

ABC search - Twitter

I was there a few years ago, We actually stayed in Kingwood, went to downtown Houston to the art museum to see ‘Van Gogh exhibit. . Beautiful down there. Very nice people. Quite a long drive from Kingwood.

Houston is listed as a tech center, which would be important for Musk.

BBC search results for “Elon Musk”. EVERY TRIVIAL LITTLE STORY EXCEPT FOR TWITTER FILES I, II AND III.
I listen to a lot of BBC World Service Radio (to note the propaganda) and have never heard mention of the explosive Twitter drops:

BBC search “Elon Musk”
