I hate to air laundry here but man does this hit home... My ex... I nicknamed her “The Well What About You Woman”. her response to ANYTHING resembling being critical or judgmental towards her. and then that comment or my actions at that time becomes the sole focus of the arguement, NOT anywhere close in proximity to what she originally did!!

all 3 of my kids were aces at it by 15 years old. the focus immediately turned to MY words/actions/behavior when trying to be a father and correcting them!! one finally came around at 26 years old. the other 2, well id be lucky if I seen them again This is truly a mental pandemic in the world today!!

I don’t think this is true. A big part of gaslighting is gaining power over people and part of that is destroying other people’s reputations so that nobody will listen to them, particularly someone who has figured out that the gaslighter is full of crap.
