Could blue survive without red? As blue America and red America drift farther apart, one wonders how each would do without the other

It’s not a universal rule, but...
Red: work for a living
Blue: live off of red money

Red states can do just fine on their own. I’m not so sure about blue cities.

Tennessee had some amendments on the ballot… the state voted deep blue.
Now we have routine rolling blackouts…. TN is not a red state. Voting republican doesn’t make you red if your state votes blue on amendments.
The republicans vote for dem spending every time it comes around.
A Republican prez handed the country permanently to dems with mail in voting, the authority to lock down, mask and restrict travel of citizens, endless covid spending and bumpstock bans and a vax designed to be distributed in masses without the rigorous safety testing.
Look up the federal code for EUA.., if you dare.
The dems are drunk with power handed to them during covid. Allstate is hiring ESG leadership. I saw the position posted on indeed.
Face it.. the constitution died during covid.. and it isn’t coming back.

If we all mutually agreed to split the continental USA down the middle, and then our side built a wall, it would take about a year before their side started tunneling in.

“We are all Americans
Uh, no, we’re not. That’s the problem.”

Agreed

That is the problem. We are 2 distinct & separate worlds.

Like a failed marriage, the two sides cannot live together-

National Divorce is the answer.
No Civil War - just Civil Separation
Choose Freedom - Choose Peace

America is a nation, the United States is a government. Nations are, by definition “a large body of people united by common descent, history, culture, or language, inhabiting a particular country or territory.” The key words there are “united by common descent, history, culture, or language”. There are two separate nations within the US, both of which claim to be “American”. The first is the group of people that on balance see the founding of the country as a good thing; freedom minded and a force of good through out history. The second is the group of people that on balance see the founding of the country as a bad thing; authoritarian and a force of evil through out history. On the larger scale, these are two competing ideologies. They can not exist in the same space. Eventually, things will come to a head and one or the other will be relegated to the dust bin.

We get along every day where I am. Blue is a minority here so maybe that helps.

This reminds me of the story of The Grasshopper And The Ants.

A family of ants was busy one autumn drying out their grain to store it to eat in the winter.

A hungry grasshopper came by.

He had played his fiddle all summer long and had done no work.

“Give me your grain”, said the grasshopper, “Or I’ll have the FBI ants throw you in prison!”

The ants did it and they all died that winter.

The grasshopper and the FBI ants all died the following autumn from starvation.

The moral of the story is:

The Democrats will rob you of what you work for so they can play in The Virgin Islands.

“We have been Balkanized, by design.”

A century ago most people were rural based, close to nature, independent.

Now most people live in cities, besot with fairy tales, and dependent on government.

It is not just the kids. There are hundreds, maybe thousands of university/college employees that make a lot of money off the college system.

The Union Leader newspaper out of Manchester, NH used to list the top paid state employees. They did one addition just for the University system. The Men’s UNH hockey coach was always the highest paid employee followed by the chancellor. However, there were a lot of professors making big salaries. So when you add up the people sucking off the UNH Durham, UNH Manchester, Keene State College, Plymouth State College, and half a dozen community colleges it really adds up. These people are almost all Democrats.

I don’t think Blue America can survive without Red America paying the Bills.

The Red parts of our nation produce the wealth. The Blue parts are a vast apparatus to steal that wealth.

DC - Government
New York - Banks and Insurance
LA - Hollywood

None of these places produce anything of real value. They are parasites on the rest of the nation.

I think we’d be better off without higher taxes, Democrat crime, and wokeness.

I am all for somehow concentrating the blue population into a few locations (NYC, Chicongo, LA, etc) and work to make them totally dependent on external supply lines. When those blue areas get uppity, surround them militarily, cut off their food, water and power until they see the error of their ways.

Looking at the votes, the division appears to be fairly close in population.

Counted votes or cast votes?

“ I say we try it. Let’s separate for 10 years.”

I have a better idea. We change the voting system to county based. Win a county, win a point. Most points wins the state’s electoral vote. In two election cycles, it will all change.

If Blues plant veggies in their flower boxes ...

There isn’t a whole lot of farming that goes on in the big blue cities.
