I'm not pro-EV or con-EV, but I do know that many pointed to Tyler Hoover's videos on his F-150 Lightning during towing tests and cold weather runs and pointing out just how much range he lost.

Well, here's an update from Tyler on his F-150 Lightning that might explain part of his issues:

The BATTERY FAILED on my Ford F150 Lightning EV pickup the day after I SOLD IT! Buyer NOT happy...

My wife and I like our EV and our ICE pickup.

But I wouldn't think about owning an EV up north. Cold weather = having to run the "precondition" to heat the battery = loss of miles/kWh. Less sunlight up north too = less free solar power to power your home and charge the EV.

Lower temperatures increase conductivity, but slow down chemical reactions in batteries and cause humans to thaw out their frost-bitten toes with excess heater use. Not good for electrics! These, in addition to range, are all problems to be solved - but like most folks, I’m not buying until they are solved.

Well, I know how they handled during California’s 12-day heat wave this past September - I was getting alerts every few hours from the power company specifically NOT to plug in EVs.

Soon the electric vehicle idiots mandators will have to have JACKED battery packs and Glowing Capacitors.

Lightning in a bottle!

Trudeau Government in Canada has mandated that ALL farm equipment be electric powered by 2025, or elese the farmes clinging to deisel will have to pay a punative Carbon Tax which will put those farmers out of production and starve Canadians...But even worse, gthis is an initiative The part of the Great NWO Trudeau reset to starve Canadians to control them.

No wonder Trudeau wants to ban private ownership of semi automatic rifles and hand guns.

Electric vehicles are all a part of the reset plan.

Let the idiots freeze in their Utopian electric Vehicles

My hybrid is parked, mostly due to the minimal clearance underneath that makes it undrivable with any snow on the roads. No problem, I’m just going to drive my H3.

I live in NYC metro area where there are a lot of Teslas. I am not aware of any major issues in my area during the cold snap. Now granted, the cold snap occurred over the Christmas holiday where most Tesla owners probably stayed home or took their ICE vehicle if they had to go someplace.

If I owned a Tesla, I would not want to take it on long drives in the cold, especially over a major holiday weekend. I'd likely leave it in the garage. I think that's what most people did.

Payload, terrain and headwinds also have a much more dramatic affect on EV’s vs ICE vehicles.

Top it off with an excellent chance to get stranded somewhere and charging times that are off the chart vs a simple 10 minute fillup.

The heater uses more energy than the motors.

Current EV technology might be OK if you live in a metro area charging your EV at home and making short trips stopping where top off charging is available. Cold temperatures might be a nuisance and cause you to more frequently look for a charger. However, cross country driving might be very annoying if not dangerous in very cold conditions.

During our most recent arctic bomb when temperatures here remained well below freezing and often below zero, you would drive an EV at your peril. Window defrosting and cabin heating are necessities at these temperatures as well as driving with lights on. Windshield wipers are also a necessity as well as rear window defrosting. With all these devices sucking on an already cold compromised battery your driving range between charges could be tens of miles not hundreds. Slipping off the road and being stranded is also an everyday occurrence in snow country. Most of the time you might be marooned in your vehicle for an hour or two until help arrives, but sometimes help could be many hours away. Here in north country we stock our vehicles with cold weather survival gear including blankets, sleeping bags, food, water and some small source of heat like large candles. We also keep our gas tanks full knowing that our ICE can be a source of heat for potentially days. How you would fare in an EV under these conditions is yet to be seen.

My crossover with an internal combustion engine handled being buried up to the windows in a snowdrift while parked in the driveway quite well.

FTA: 1.7 million electric vehicles (EVs) on U.S. roads

Compared to over 250 million cars and trucks in the USA.
Looks like gas and diesel won out.

Electric vehicles are not emission free when the battery is charged. The batteries are made from earth- destroying lithium mines by child slaves and exploited adults. But that’s ok when promoting UN 2030 and 2040, according to WEF antichrist.
