Conservative Group Runs Ads Against Mitch Daniels’ Potential Senate Run (another milquetoast Mitch)

A conservative group is trying to stop former Indiana governor Mitch Daniels from running for a U.S. Senate seat.

Daniels has been considering a 2024 run to replace Senator Mike Braun, who is giving up the position to run for governor of Indiana.

Club for Growth Action is now airing TV commercials that say Daniels is “wrong for Senate”.

It is unclear when Daniels will publicly announce whether or not he will pursue the seat.

Braun got told to run for Goobernor lofl, because the Mitch, the Mitch, the Mitch is Back!

He caught them all flat-footed this time -- "no" to VP in 2012, "no" to Coats seat in 2016, but the Bush brigade has called him back into service from Purdont to beat back the MAGA still-rising tide.

Just hilariously unreal. He'll slide into that cabal's 'leadership' overnight. And he'll win that seat, easy. Banks doesn't have a snowball's chance in hell.

Frankly, Banks ought to go for the jugular...because the Democrat will.

"Daniels’ message by voice and in writing was the same – his wife and their four grown daughters had veto power on a campaign, and they had exercised it. If anyone wondered about the depth of Cheri Daniels’s concerns about the prying eyes of the public, those questions were more than answered in a string of stories and columns focused on her and her husband around the time of her May 12 (2011) speech at an Indiana Republican Party dinner.

Cheri Daniels was facing scrutiny not just for the couple’s unusual path—they divorced in 1993, remarried in 1997, and in the intervening years she wed another man in California. Rather, the Indiana first lady was on the receiving end of a growing number of cutting critiques questioning her mothering over the fact that their daughters remained with Mitch Daniels during their time apart.

“Now, because of her husband’s prominence in national politics, Cheri Daniels is facing harsh judgments,” wrote “On Parenting” blogger Janice D’Arcy in the Washington Post just last week, adding readers had used the word “abandoned” in the comments section in connection with the split and her kids."

Mitch (McConnell) is likely STILL pissed that Indiana conservatives took out his buddy Richard Lugar (who subsequently endorsed Democrats for Senate so totally justified).

McConnell is a very vile and vindictive man.

Too bad it wasn’t to replace Young. But then there wouldn’t be much of a change between the two.

It would be a mistake to assume that Hoosiers would condemn a man for following a Scriptural view of forgiveness.

I never understood the obsession with this story when he was looking to run for POTUS. It’s also questionable that the Club for Growth is the one attacking him. He’s a bookish, uninspiring conservative as I recall. Not a good fit for a White House run but should be ok in the Senate.

I think he would have been a very good POTUS had he gotten the job. Successful everywhere he went. I once felt the same way about John Bolton as a potential SOS. Which one stuck his head out more? Hint: He’s outside-looking-in right now.

So, Senator runs for governor, governor runs for senator. So much for the citizen legislator envisioned in the Founding principles.

As a Hoosier, I know Daniels was a really good Governor. Super smart and excellent manager. I don’t know how RINO he is now because he has been in the private sector since his stint at Purdue University.

Indiana has a RINO GOP and the worst of the worst Senator Todd Young who is a liar and one of McConnell’s butt boys.

Our current Governor Holcomb is a buddy of China’s and an alumni of the WEF.

The Indiana sewer needs to be flushed.

Let him run.

Let him lose.

And though I support term limits, this is the “loophole,” so to speak. When they hit the limit for one job, they simply run for another one.

George Frickin’ Will was touting Daniels for Prez. in 2008.

That story probably kept him and will forever keep him out of the White Hospice. Romney's VP slot was his for the asking -- and had he committed, he would have still been the tallest task for Trump to primary in 2016.

As soon as they actually ask Hoosiers for forgiveness, we'll see.

Governor Daniels has done nothing to ask Hoosiers forgiveness for. That he remained faithful to his wedding vows is not seen as a shortcoming in this state.
