Donald Trump has dropped his Florida lawsuit accusing New York Attorney General Letitia James of waging a “war of intimidation and harassment” against him, court papers show.
The former president filed papers Friday voluntarily dismissing his West Palm Beach federal suit from November. The move comes on the same day he was due to respond to the AG’s bid to have his case tossed out by a judge.
Trump had argued James abused her position while carrying out an allegedly politically motivated probe into the Trump Organization’s business dealings ahead of the 2022 midterm elections.
James has been investigating Trump Org since 2019 and has since filed two lawsuits against the company and the family – the first case accusing the family of stonewalling her inquiry and the second accusing the company and family of “staggering” fraud and seeking $250 million in damages.
A Manhattan judge overseeing the civil fraud case has since appointed a monitor “to ensure there is no further fraud” as James’ case – set for trial in October – plays out.

Absolutely. But this demonstrates the point I’ve made here endlessly: lawsuits are not magic. This case, and the case against a Hillary for which Trump was just sanctioned, were never going to go anywhere, and their filing confuses and gives false hope to supporters

On no legal planet does Letitia James have any basis for her jihad against Trump. It’s clearly government animus against him.

There’s been a lot of that. I stopped paying attention to all the political and legal Trump issues a long time ago. It keeps folks busy, panicked and angry with a continuous drip, drip, drip but the ending is always the same. It’s by design.
The Global Elite now are in charge, totally.
It seems like most legal cases as long as either side has good attorneys rarely get results. I guess the one against the Trump Organization that got a tax fraud conviction is one that worked for now, but it will surely be appealed and likely stalled.
All the other ones against Trump seem to be just going nowhere, but so do his.

won from his frivolous lawsuit, you can ask him if he thinks that was a productive strategy

But these lawsuits that Letitia James has been filing against him are nothing but pure "Orange Man Bad" vindictiveness to bankrupt Trump Inc.
