You made me go look up Bourbonite, and yes, it seems to mean what I thought it did. Oh, for the days when the worst we had in the White House was a drunkard!

Well, that didn’t mean drunkard. It merely referred to center-right Conservatives in the Democrat Party of the time in opposition to the radical leftist “populists.” Once the latter deposed the former, many formerly sensible Democrats moved to the left to retain their power and party membership (similar to what happened in the attemptive 1930s and 1970s purges).

Curiously, William Jennings Bryan, despite being a moonbat on economics, was a solid religious Christian. He wanted to marry leftist economics with devout Christian doctrine. By the time the execrable Socialist Woodrow Wilson won office, Bryan soon learned the party had no use for that “old fashioned” Christian doctrine, and he was an anachronism. He died right after the Scopes Trial in Tennessee, successfully defending that aforementioned Christian doctrine.

Although he wouldn’t have been happy with Conservative economics, he would’ve been disgusted and horrified with the present-day degenerate Satanic Demonrat Party.
