Dmitry Filanovich, from Novocheboksarsk in Chuvashia, was drafted into the army after being kicked out of school for truancy. Last September, he decided to switch to contract service. Now he admits that he made a mistake, believing the propaganda and being tempted by the big salary. The eighteen-year-old was transferred from the missile troops to the infantry and thrown to the front line. During the Ukrainian counteroffensive, he was wounded several times and almost died. In an interview with Liubomyr Ferens, Dmytro told the story of his rescue and how real war differs from the “picture” painted by Russian propagandists.

Ukraine’s plan is to get out of Bakhmut while keeping the loses down to around 50K. Then regroup and redeploy at the next Russian spearhead.

Ukraine can make Crimea into wasteland when they cut off the fresh waterflow. That goes from the Ukrainian mainland to Crimea. Crimea is arid and dependent on that outside water that comes via the Crimean Canal.

Retired Major-General Dmytro Ulyanov commanded a regiment mobilized from Tatarstan.
This was reported by Colonel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, blogger Anatoly Shtefan, Censor.NET reports.
According to him, in the past Ulyanov was the commander of the 98th Airborne Division. He volunteered for the war against Ukraine and commanded a regiment mobilized from Tatarstan.
