Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders (R-Ark.) delivered the Republican response to the State of the Union address.
According to The Hill, Sanders “finds herself at her highest position yet in a GOP that is at an intersection between Trumpism and potential new leaders” with her appearance. She was an inspired choice to deliver the GOP response for multiple reasons. First, as Trump’s press secretary, she proved herself an effective communicator who could go toe-to-toe with Democrats. Second, as the nation’s youngest governor, she represents a new generation of conservative leaders.
“The American people deserve better than Democrats’ runaway inflation, surging crime, open borders, and failing schools,” said Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) in a statement. “I am excited for the nation to hear from Governor Sanders on Tuesday and witness a sharp contrast with this exhausted and failing Administration.”
“She is a servant-leader of true determination and conviction,” said Speaker of the House Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.). “I’m thrilled Sarah will share her extraordinary story and bold vision for a better America on Tuesday. Everyone, including President Biden, should listen carefully.”
“I am grateful for this opportunity to address the nation and contrast the GOP’s optimistic vision for the future against the failures of President Biden and the Democrats,” Sanders said ahead of Tuesday night’s address. “We are ready to begin a new chapter in the story of America — to be written by a new generation of leaders ready to defend our freedom against the radical left and expand access to quality education, jobs, and opportunity for all.”

It is important to realize that the corrupt, demented , fraud Biden does not exist in a cultural, social or political vacuum. Much of America has devolved into neo pagan, hedonistic decadence. That sizable group has little or nothing in common with the rational, decent people who oppose him. Sadly there no longer exists a consensus of commonly held values to unite Americans.
She learned well from Trump how to use simple and clear language that everyone understand

Sarah did a good job—The best response to a State of the Union I ever heard. She should be a comer in the GOP. When done in her state—she should be elected to Congress.

I was very excited to hear when it was announced that she would be speaking. Not only because of all the great things she’s already known for, but for all the great things I believe she will be doing in the future.
And I think she delivered a strong, yet heartfelt, detailed response. She didn’t beat around the bush, she went right to the heart, that Democrats are primarily about talking away our freedoms, and subjecting us to their evil agenda. The interesting story of her trip to Iraq and the awesome soldiers she met there was a nice interlude as well, exemplifying some of her unique experiences.

I think she achieved the goals of the speech. I think this is her strength, is crafting the appropriate message for the occasion. And she’ll only improve with time and experience.
This was her introduction to the rest of the country as a politician. A lot were skeptical if someone whose previous role as a Press Secretary could actually be a good governor.
Exactly. She could even emerge as a strong candidate for VP as early as ‘24, being female playing an important part in that, of course.
I hope not for 24, she needs time to govern Arkansas and earn her stripes.
