Now that Lou Dobbs brings up this 'little' fact that Sarah never mentioned Trump, I am not as smitten.

She didn’t have to name him by name; everyone knew who she was talking about. The reason she didn’t mention his name is because there is a presidential campaign just getting under way, and she did not want to make any comment that could be construed as a campaign endorsement. Smart move on her part.
I haven’t watched the video yet but my take on her not mentioning Trump was that it didn’t matter!! With her description of that moving event in the military, EVERYONE KNEW who she was talking about!! It was the best ENDORSEMENT of TRUMP 2024 she could have made!!!!

Bull Pucky in spades. Talking about a trip that was literally orgasmic for those in the military on Christmas Eve...and for whatever reason, not being able to say “President Trump”...is something I just can’t forgive.
Her launching pad was being given the opportunity to serve as Press Secretary at the White House. Trump believed in her. Like so many others that served in his administration, they all seem to want to run away from the man who made it possible.
I hope Trump continues to run for President and destroys all in his way.

It would be wholly inappropriate for her to mention Trump by name in such a rebuttal, as it could appear as an endorsement as he has already launched his 2024 campaign. Personally, I trust Lou Dobbs interpretation of the speech over yours.
HOWEVER - I just realized something.
If DeSantis shows up for 2024 with a bunch of campaign consultants and the like in tow [going back to the Bad Old Days of campaign grifters like Karl Rove and Steve Schmidt], that will be a red flag.
The usual GOPee campaign grifters have NEVER forgiven Trump for cutting them out of their piece of the money pie in 2015-16.
Was she just giving the rebuttal - or setting the stage for GOPee 2024?
We'll see, I guess.

Exactly. It was not a campaign speech. It was an anti-Biden, anti-Demonrat, anti-woke speech. Period. No need to mention Trump.
Think you should watch the video in which she references her time at the White House with reverence.
It's pretty clear who she's talking about.
