The people of Bakhmut are all too familiar with the most intense fighting of the war, with many living in shelters for as long as six months. Their resolve and determination holds firm. Oh no, now - we've been told by some here they want to be enslaved by the Russians and would see that as being "liberated" from their national sovereignty - they long for the days of being controlled by another country like they were during the previous Russian occupation of their nation.
