One of the dumbest things that has ever become the norm in this country is defining ‘adult’ as 18 or even 21.
Old enough to procreate, old enough to be treated as an adult. If they aren’t functional and responsible by 14 or 15 it’s incompetent parenting.
I loved my parents, but couldn’t wait to get the hell out of the house, which I did (more or less, dad had a stroke so I was still caregiver) at 15.
Old enough to take or create life, old enough to be an adult. If they have a 17 year old who can’t hold a job, pay rent *and* do well in school, they have failed as parents.

Perhaps that is the ultimate goal. As soon as children are treated as legal adults, then pedophiles, teachers, and the government can do as they please with children without fear of arrest or prosecution.
This is about destroying the family. By severing the bond between parent and child they are destroying the family. And that is their intention.
I remember when you couldn’t give an aspirin to a kid without parental permission.

If they tried to pass a law stating that a 14-year old can make their own decisions - legally - it would never pass. So the global cabal of pedophiles is taking an incremental approach, chipping away at parental rights in small bits. They have been disturbingly successful.
Transgenderism is a big part of the plan. It’s all about making it LEGAL for minors - at least in a certain age group - to engage in sexual relations with adults.
California has passed legislation protecting pedophiles, and making sure that minors remain victims.

And while some Christian denominations seemingly wash their hands of government authority because it is "evil," 14th Amendment protections in this example, note that Acts 22:23-29 shows that the Holy Spirit led Apostle Paul to claim his Roman citizenship to get out of a flogging.
Also, consider that 14A was successfully applied in a relatively recent UC Berkeley, California case to win a judgment against abridgment of free speech, although I wouldn't be surprised if California taxpayers ultimately paid the settlement.
