ASBURY, Ky. (FOX 56) – Asbury University is finally calling an end to its non-stop revival after more than 10 days, the president of Asbury University, Dr. Kevin J. Brown, announced.

Brown said he is trying to balance the incredible moment happening at the school with the needs of the students and their academic experience.

The final public evening service will be at 7:30 p.m. on Sunday, but public worship will continue in the afternoon until Wednesday.

Is it what those students paid all of that tuition to do? Will you be pleased when the bitch about not learning anything due to lack of attendance?

People are coming from across the nation to attend
these services. Is it your thought that they are
missing out on classroom time?

As for the students on campus, it it your take that the
same students have been there since this started? You
don’t realize that students can leave to attend their
classes and return?

They can leave to eat, sleep, shower and work. The
same students aren’t causing this to continue all on
their own.

Think of a business whose employees retire or quit.
Does the business close? No, new people drift in to
fill the spots.

That’s what is taking place there too. Some drift
out and others drift in. It’s a happening event,
and it doesn’t appear to be slacking in the least
from what I’ve seen.

I’m not convinced this event is wrong-headed at
all. This nation could benefit from 500 of these
at once.

It’s about time. Was getting to the point of being ridiculous; like a permanent tent revival. Big public displays of piety start to take on the looks of the virtual signalling that we so despise on the part of the left.

There may or may not be perpetual Adoration of the Living Lord at your local Catholic Church. It feels good praying like they did at Asbury. It is going on around the world it may be called Adoration.

How dare you! The money changers and people who sell doves for sacrifices need money too. There’s money to be made here and you want to shut it down. What would Jesus do?

I’d imagine the parking lots were getting permanently crammed, denying employees and students parking space.

Town and campus law enforcement were probably working over time, managing the extra crowds and traffic.

Last, that balcony inside the church looked pretty crowded, in the videos - I’d worry about potential collapse.....

They should announced they’re re-locating to a large church or tent located in area area nearby.....

Just playing devil’s advocate here so don’t go after me. Could this not be an example of mass formation psychosis like we saw with the COVID pandemic?

I’ll admit to not seeing much real-time video of this
event. What I did see looked decent. Still, I’m not
the expert.

One has to ask, what would a pouring out of the Holy
Spirit look like in the last days? I”m not sure it
would look much different than this.

There are times when we pray to the Lord to cause
a revival of Christianity. Is there any chance at
all this is an answer to that prayer?

It has gotten the attention of the nation from coast
to coast. I don’t believe people who are moved to
travel to this place and partake, are doing so at
the Devil’s behest. It is causing God to be thought
of by millions of people.

I’m still mindful of the vastly over-repeated (so
I’m sorry to repeat it again) story of a man that
was shipwrecked on a deserted island.

He prayed for a boat to come get him and bring him
to safety. Along came a cruise ship, and they sent
over a raft to save him, but it wasn’t a single
boat by itself, so he said, no I”ll stay until
God answers my prayer. A helicopter flew over
and landed. Same thing. I prayed and God will
answer. A submarine of all things came by. Still
the man held out for God to answer his prayer.

In heaven after he finally died, he asked God.
Why didn’t you answer my prayer? God said,
I sent a raft, a helicopter, and a submarine. You
refused my help three times.

We have to be open to God working in His mysterious
ways.

You may have seen evidence of this drifting off
target. If so, you may be right.

Absolutely. But maybe a real revival is a mass formation and a religious catharsis all rolled into one.

"Town and campus law enforcement were probably working over time, managing the extra crowds and traffic."

It was an infrastructure issue in the end, 5-hour waits and people in line needing facilities, etc. But wow what a beautiful thing.

Couldn’t it have been said the it was time to stop Jesus,
because He was getting out of hand?

How did that work out?

I think we do. Most of the troubles in this nation right
now are attributable to falling memberships in churches,
and children raised with no morals.

I stand by the premise that we lost this nation when the Ten Commandments were removed from the Town square. we’re a society with no moral guideposts.
Anything goes and it shows.
