If Trump acted like a mature, level-headed person and quit this childish name calling, he’d be unbeatable.

By Sunday night, Trump had made at least 10 different posts attacking DeSantis.

The more RDS (DeSantis needs a three-letter moniker) ignores Trump, the more shrill Trump becomes and the more he spoils for an argument.

At this early point in the 24 primary season, the (as yet undeclared) RDS owns the presidential and diplomatic and wise-minded high ground and clearly lives rent free in the head of DJT.

The primary debates will be the most anticipated in US history, one highly suspects.

I am a Trump supporter and I know he is the only national leader who can turn the good ship America around toward the light. However when he attacks people he loses some fence sitters and independents that had favored him. He gains nothing. As one who likes him as president as much as I do, it doesn’t sit well, at all! I want him to win and win big!

Over the weekend, Trump made at least 10 posts about DeSantis, culminating in a rage-filled rant.

This article was written a day and a half ago.

He's still at it.

So far not that impressed with DeSantis on the stump. Not a natural in front of a regular crowd. Better when he can yell at reporters and be nasty. Excellent at that. But super stiff when the situation calls for him to be calm, cordial and humorous. His wit seems very lacking. Historically, presidential candidates like this have not done well. I think there is a GAPING hole in 2024 that could be filled by (other than Trump) a confident, jovial heavyweight from any field of business or life.

Why is he bothered by him?

People make assumptions

He might be bothered by him because he would be bad for the country trump is working so hard to save and make great.

Why are people so full of hate they can’t think of this?

Ahh, Business Insider.

A source of news that is the paragon of objectivity.

This really is frustrating. Trump was an amazing president, the best in a long time.

But his recent comments make it seem like he’s insecure, and that he’s more about himself than the good of America.

Sad.

Hey Cheryl Teh of Business Insider, that’s just Trump being Trump. Deal with it.

I’m with Trump.
Ron D is not running this time and Trump will see to it that he does not.
He is only doing as he always has...it has worked before.
Looking forward to a great nomination contest.

This is Trump always. He just cranks it up when the ante is upped. If you believe the MSM all Trump ever did was “lash out” at folks... so Im not sure why this is news. Its second nature , I wouldnt read too much into it.

My question is, if Trump wasn’t doing this to DeSantis, how many people outside of the State of Florida would even know who he is?

The first was to insult DeSantis by writing that he thought it was "totally inappropriate to use the word 'meatball' as a moniker for Ron" β€” in the process making sure thousands more people saw the nickname.

Wait a second.

Business Insider themselves just used the moniker "meatball" too. Which is the exact thing that they were complaining about that Trump did.

So now "thousands more people" are seeing the "nickname".

What fake outrage.

The original Meatball story attributed to Trump was fake.

Trump's use of the word "meatball" in the denial was perfectly okay.

And Business Insider's outrage is hypocritical because they also used the word to describe the story.

Only about 18 months left of our daily RDS v DJT hocky matches.

We need to savor these moments.
