that much of the statutes/laws/regs have been changed but it
takes a few generations to get beyond it. Go back to the mid
1860s and the Civil War and how long it has taken to make

Apparently many don’t have birth certificates because home births or forced labor didn’t allow for the owner to bother getting a birth certificate certified. However, how many could that possibly be? Most are dying off who didn’t get the privilege of a birth certificate.

All we ever needed was a DL. Never needed a birth cert IIRC. But different states, different rules.
You need a high certificate for the initial license. Marriage, divorce decrees ect. Two forms of utility bills. It’s doable but not exactly the simplest.
Yeah, because black people are unable to vote in U.S. elections. It’s about time a law was passed to give minorities the right to vote. Maybe we will have to amend our Constitution, but the time to do so is now. Let’s remove all the barriers that have been erected to keep blacks from voting and pass laws against those white men in their hoods and robes who stand at the doors of voting sites to prevent some people from entering to cast a vote.

I’m in Alabama, which requires voter ID, and every time I go to vote there are black people voting all around. Voter ID has been required for several years now. If blacks were being denied the right to vote anywhere in Alabama, there’s be Justice Department lawyers looking under every rock and behind every tree in the state.
