Nord Stream mystery: the tanker Minerva Julie spent 7 days idling near the attack site
Business Insider via Yahoo ^ | March 11th, 2023 | Mattathias Schwartz

The question of who blew up the Nord Stream pipelines is likely to remain an unsolved mystery for some time.

Even as new details surface from European investigators, one of the most intriguing clues to recently emerge comes not from official probes but via a 29-year-old open-source analyst based in Denmark. Oliver Alexander spent months analyzing data from the maritime Automatic Identification System, or AIS, from vessels that passed near the site of three out of the four pipeline ruptures shortly before the damage. He noticed that the Minerva Julie, a 600-foot Greek-flagged tanker, was headed east from Rotterdam when, on September 6, it came to an abrupt stop in the middle of the Baltic Sea.

The Minerva Julie stayed there, alternately idling and crossing a roughly 200-square-nautical-mile area above the two natural-gas pipelines, for seven days, from September 6 until September 12. From there, the Julie traveled on to Tallinn, Estonia before anchoring at Saint Petersburg, Russia on September 18. Then, on September 26, the two pipelines burst.

We can safely say the only country outside suspicion is Russia.

The prime suspects being Poland, Ukraine and the USA.

It was a major Act of War against Germany and Russia. Either would be justified in punishing strikes against the culprit.

We need more Oliver Alexanders investigating and reporting; fewer AP mouthpieces.

“Nord Stream mystery: the tanker Minerva Julie spent 7 days idling near the attack site”

Likely waiting to unload its oil, or waiting for its next assignment.

I guess the Gilligan’s Island story is starting to sink. Maybe it’s because the yacht on Gilligan’s Island had 7 people on it, while this story claimed only 6 people.

We can safely say the only country outside suspicion is Russia.

Actually you can't say that. For certain Russian entities facing contractual penalties for withholding gas supplies having an external event potentially saved them billions of dollars.

It’s truly astonishing that both Biden and Nuland stated that if Russia invaded Ukraine, that “we would put an end to [the pipeline]”. And yet now it’s a ‘conspiracy theory’ that the US could possibly have done it.

Russia is not outside suspicion. They less likely to have done it, that’s all.

And this ship went to Russia after hanging out around the pipelines?

Russia is now an active suspect.

The key, as expressed in the article...is what did the crew of this ship WITNESS?

What did they see visually and radar, what did they hear over the UHF radios?

“Russia is now an active suspect.”

Ludicrous.

Such paranoia makes you a laughing stock.

“They say 5.6 million people participated in the survey, which required them to use VPN services.”

Unless they caught the sonobuoy being dropped to detonate the explosives (which were planted 3 months earlier by US Navy divers), they likely wouldn’t have seen anything but maybe the bubbles.

It is not unusal for tankers and freighters to steam around an area for a few days even a week or longer while waiting to dock at a berth for loading and/or unloading.

Your propaganda and profanity makes you an angry old fool. Go have some prunes and warm milk and go to bed. You’ll feel better in the morning.
