Just curious why the guy needed two lanes if it was just himself, his wife and their 5-year-old son.

Couldn't read the rest of the article due to paywall and the WSJ isn't getting a dime of my money anymore.

Nevertheless, bowling can be very expensive, especially at a Bowlero, which is typically high end in the bowling industry.

Billiards is expensive as well. I remember getting charged $30/hr for a table near Fenway Park just a few years ago.

Probably cause his son needed the bumper guards up. Most bowling alleys won’t let heavier balls use them lanes. Hence, one for adults, one for jr.
