I wonder what will happen in 2035?
Will we have a patchwork quilt map of states, which will show the liberal states are banning internal combustion engine vehicles, while more conservative states still allow same?
This could get ugly, as we are compelled/forced, whatever the right term is, to get electric cars, whether we want them or not, whether the electrical grid can handle the charging of those vehicles or not.
How about trying to take a driving vacation with your ICE car & no gas stations???
By 2035 all this will be a dead letter. We will be too busy trying to survive, much less “go green.”
Used cars will suddenly become very valuable.
The not-so-hidden idea is for these commie blue states to force such a huge market share for EVs, that car companies will find it unfeasible to produce ICE vehicles for the US market. So California, Maryland, Virginia (!), etc. will ultimately force new car buyers in Florida and Texas to buy EVs, regardless of their safety record or their effect on the power grid.
Well I will probably be dead...but my kids are going to have to deal with this shit.
EVs are a 7-10yr “fad”.
By then, world mfgrs will have TRILLIONS in unsold inventory, empty plants and storage yards full of unused parts.
They’ll never rebuild the Power Grid to handle all the EVs they want to sell, or the infrastructure to service them.
They’ll lose it all, as ICE vehicles prevail.
Just as in 1895-1915, when EVs were eclipsed by Steamers and ICE vehicles, EVs quietly disappeared.
What worries me is how long it will take to rebuild all the gas stations, refineries, drilling companies, which the eco-wackos have run out-of-business.
They’re not banning ICE cars, per se, yet. Just planning to ban their sales in the state. people can drive to Virginia or Pennsylvania or Delaware and buy there instead. Then dealerships in Maryland will go out of business.
Will we have a patchwork quilt map of states,”
no the rat states will get away with bullying the entre country because the car makers will not make cars they cannot sell in half of the states. They will only make EV’s which they can sell in every state.
This could get ugly, as we are compelled/forced, whatever the right term is, to get electric cars, whether we want them or not, whether the electrical grid can handle the charging of those vehicles or not.
