New York City authorities have no specific timing in mind for a potential indictment and arraignment of former President Trump, but many are now concerned that arresting Trump is likely to be dangerous, a source told Fox News Digital.

Or they already know the NYPD would have too many officers coming down with the Blue Flu and won't be around to protect the Communists in the prosecutor's office.

The prosecutor has also likely been told by the Secret Service that they won't be separated from President Trump and any attempt to do so will be met with deadly force.

There should be no arraignment period. This prosecutorial debacle threatens our legal system. Senator Cruz described it perfectly.

“Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) slammed Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg's “political persecution” of former President Donald Trump as “utter and complete crap.”

“The case from the Manhattan District Attorney, if they bring an indictment and charge him, is utter and complete crap…It is flimsy. It is weak,” Cruz said on his latest Verdict podcast episode. “It has been rejected by prosecutor after prosecutor after prosecutor. And it is obviously political retribution and a political persecution.

“[Bragg] hates Donald Trump. Now he has a right to hate Donald Trump. But he doesn't have a right to abuse and corrupt the justice system to persecute his political opponents. And that, sadly, is exactly what he's doing here,” the Texas senator continued.”

NYPD detectives or Manhattan DA investigators cannot arrest Trump in Fl. He would need to be taken into custody by state or local LEOs and then an extradition hearing would be held in court. Trump would likely take it up the ladder to Fl SC. If they uphold extradition then DeSantis could deny it as he has that power. He loses either way. If he upholds exteadition no Trumper will ever vote for him. If he denies it he loses the GOPe, the Never Trumpers, and many independents.

I would MAKE THEM come serve me in person.

If they ask him to turn himself in, I would say “Come and get me, if you DARE!”

They are trying to lay the blame on Trump supporters/MAGA for what may end up being a walk backwards on their ridiculous plan.

Well, the testimony of the attorney is on sort of an emergency basis asked for by Trump. I hate to say it but with a NYC GJ, they could have pictures, confessions, etc. and they still will find a way to indict him. So, it may just be delaying it a day or so or not at all.

If they did that to Trump it would start WWIII. I don’t think the Secret Service will allow it though.

Trump would likely take it up the ladder to Fl SC. If they uphold extradition then DeSantis could deny it as he has that power.

The Governor has no discretion when presented with a facially correct request for extradition, and while the person sought may seek a writ of habeas corpus, the Florida Court may not interfere with the extradition, unless, while considering the writ (Florida Statutes, Title XLVII, CRIMINAL PROCEDURE AND CORRECTIONS, Sec.941.10 Rights of accused person; application for writ of habeas corpus ... )(2)... a court finds that the person in custody is not the same person named in the warrant, or that the person is not a fugitive from justice, or otherwise subject to extradition under s. 941.06, or that there is no criminal charge or criminal proceeding pending against the person in the demanding state, or that the documents are not on their face in order, the person named in the warrant shall be held in custody at all times and shall not be eligible for release on bail.

Given that Trump would not be eligible for bail, while litigating a writ of habeas corpus, I doubt he will take his case to the Florida Supreme Court.

It really shows how bad politics has become. They want someone to perp walk Trump to harm his prospects in 2024 even though he has ensured he is unelectable. It might be less about Trump than stopping Republicans. They also want a second J6 to slander all Republicans as extremists. Trump fell for that trap in 2020 because of his own arrogance. Calling again for protests over a potential indictment is making the same mistake over again.

We need the America First agenda without the histrionics and self sabotage that comes from Trump. Don’t know who that candidate would be. I don’t trust DeSantis and don’t find him compelling but we need a vigorously contested primary to beat Trump and Biden both in 2024.

Trump had a completely peaceful talk set up in Washington, D.C.

You speak out your butt.

Someone quoted the US constitution where is says that extradition could not be blocked if the person had Fled charges in another state.

So I pointed out the definition of “Fled”.

Here is the definition of “Fled”:

verb
run away from a place or situation of danger.
“a man was shot twice as he fled from five masked youths”
synonyms: run, run away, run off, make a run for it, run for it, take flight, be gone, make off, take off, take to one’s heels, make a break for it, bolt, beat a (hasty) retreat, make a quick exit, make one’s getaway, escape, absent oneself, make oneself scarce, abscond, head for the hills, do a disappearing act, beat it, clear off, clear out, vamoose, skedaddle, split, cut and run, show a clean pair of heels, turn tail, scram, do a runner, scarper, do a bunk, leg it, light out, bug out, cut out, peel out, take a powder, skiddoo, go through, shoot through, fly, run away from, leave hastily/abruptly, escape from, skip, bugger off

I don’t see how they can say that Trump did any of that.

"The Secret Service is expected to suggest the possibility of a virtual arraignment, removing the need for Trump to be physically arrested and moved, the source said. In the event of an indictment, a physical arrest would be the responsibility of the Secret Service."

I mean, it was BRILLIANT to disarm Alvin Boogums and Obama by throwing it out there last week. They went from a showcase kick-in-the-door-before-dawn arrest and frog-march perp-walk, to permitting Trump to wear his usual tailored suit and sit in a gold chair at Mar-a-Lago and say, "100%, absolutely, not guilty" and "this is a political witchhunt!"

Pretty funny that they are trying to make it look like they’re avoiding confrontation.

They started the fire and now afraid they might get burned?

F them!

I don’t think the SS would let anyone near Trump with weapons. And he would need SS protection in jail... How would that work?
