I never heard such a stupid statement in my life.
It's akin to the idiots that said defunding police will make us safer. How's that worked out?
In San Francisco, which is beset by crime:
Mayor London Breed redirected $120 million from law enforcement to fund other city initiatives in 2020 as crime continued to surge in the city – with homicides increasing by 20% in 2020 compared to 2019. Homicides also increased 17% in 2021 compared to the previous year, according to city data.
Tell you what, Representative Slaughter: Any criminal lifer should be released in Chicago and made to stay there. This is what your voters voted for after all.
I live maybe two miles, as the crow flies from Illinois. The political difference between IL and MO is almost hard to grasp.
Because there aren’t enough violent criminals walking free already.
Everyone who gets out free under the SAF-T Act gets a SAF-T sucker with safe loop:

I mean when the lazy workers get off welfare and go back to work.
Fact: The state of Illinois is a Democratic stronghold and one of the “big three” Democratic states alongside California and New York. It is considered one of the most Democratic states in the nation and following the 2018 elections, all six statewide elected offices are held by a Democrat.
I now have an opportunity to say whether I’m sorry about that and sympathetic. Here goes:
The “historic” Dung beetle turd roller Party is doing everything possible to get more Americans killed. Killing American babies wasn’t enough. Now they want their criminals to be release so they can start taking out the rest of the Americans and fill the gap with freeloading, thieving chumps with anchor babies from south of the border.
They ought to give the newly released felons guns and ammo when they leave prison.
Dumbasses.
As a Christian, Ive generally been uneasy about capital punishment, believing that the oft-promised life without parole was adequate deterent. But this sproves that those promises were meaningless, and thus capital punishment is needed.
