A Houston teen has been accused of slamming a mother of three into the ground during a “jugging” robbery that left the victim paralyzed — and he appeared this week in court, where he had his bond slashed in half to $100,000.
Joseph Harrell, 17, was ordered held last week on $200,000 bond following the harrowing, caught-on-camera Feb. 13 attack that left Nhung Truong unable to walk, Fox News reported.
Prosecutors had asked for the $200,000 bond because he had just been released on a $100 bond on Jan. 26 on an unlawful carrying of a weapon charge.
But his court-appointed attorney argued Wednesday to have his bond reduced to $100,000, saying his family could not afford to spring him.

They want him out so he can destroy more Asians before his next court date...Must be the only way his family makes money....Robbing Asians is now a job....
What better reason is there for letting a violent thug out? "Don't do the crime if you can't do the time" springs to mind here. Or "Baretta: Don't do the crime if you can't afford the bail" as a good precursor.
The bastard should be FRIED, not SPRUNG. The poor, innocent, unassuming woman is paralyzed for LIFE.

He’s a violent thug, why would he be allowed out on any bail? And who would pony up $10-$15K for this thug in the first place?
Maybe. But articles are pointing out these bastards are scoping out banks with binoculars. He could have been in the parking lot surveilling the bank. Or an accomplice was in the bank looking for people taking out large amounts of cash. Of course, anybody loitering in the lobby for long is going to be suspect.
Personally I think an able bodied law-abiding grown male should take a sledgehammer to the lower part of his spine.
That feels like justice to me in this case.

Well, it sure would be unfortunate if he were have an unpleasant interaction with members of the lady’s community and/or family while he’s out on bail.
Most unfortunate indeed, especially if there should be no witnesses.

There was a case a few years back where hoodrat’s white girlfriend was a teller at the bank and tipped him off.
Not saying this is the case ..but some criminals ..drug dealers.. have LOTS of untaxed cash.
They can also put a tag on your car, so they don’t even have to tail you. They just casually pull into the next place you stop.
Unlike his victim, the perp will probably walk.
Houston has had all Democrat mayors since 1982 and mostly Democrat prior to that. I hope she didn’t vote for her own attack.
