Yes, an organization not subject to governmental oversight, certifies if a person can practice law, be a judge, prosecutor, etc.
And the bar association is made up almost entirely of leftists.

Par for the course! Since the social revolution of the sixties, lefties have infiltrated schools, universities, churches, government - everything of consequence. And we the conservatives and independents, have seen it happening and done nothing to counter.
Well, not exactly: the LEADERSHIP of most bar associations is leftist, I think mainly because the conservatives take one look at all the pictures in the Bar Journal of all the same people attending all the same galas and giving each other awards and (I am one) say, why the hell should I bother? The related issue is that we vote for “President-Elect”, which is virtually always an insider/climber, meaning it’s virtually impossible to get new, untainted blood into the room. Frankly, I’m a strong believer in CS Lewis’ “Inner Ring” philosophy.
