Russia’s President, Vladimir Putin, will be attending the BRICS Summit in August this year, on invitation by the South African government. BRICS is a group of the world’s biggest emerging economies – Brazil, Russia, India, China and late-addition South Africa.
The International Criminal Court in the Hague has issued a warrant of arrest for the Russian leader for war crimes stemming from the conflict with Ukraine that started over a year ago on 28 February 2022.
The ICC warrant means that South Africa, a signatory to the ICC, will be obliged to arrest Mr Putin and hand him over if he sets foot on South African soil.

Putin should arrive at sundown and leave before sunrise.
Since South Africa’s power isn’t working most of the time the “authorities” won’t be able to find him in the dark.
Problem solved.
Or withdraw from the ICC.
Putin’s a thug but this ICC warrant is a joke. The ICC has no authority and it’s never had any authority. South Africa wouldn’t dare arrest Putin and risk pissing off Russia.
I’ll bet money that Putin attends and the warrant will be ignored. This will result in another slap in the face to Biden. Since the US itself doesn’t honor any actions by the ICC (and in fact said they would militarily intervene if any of our people were ever arrested by them) they will look like hypocrites if they open their mouth.
They are just pushing South Africa further into the Russia & China camp.
This is the same South Africa that confiscates white-owned farms and sets white farmers on fire.
Shame that anyone would cheer them on.
That’s irrelevant South Africa is important geo-politically because of its location strategic metals and with which currency they will use for trade. What makes you think Biden and the deep state care about white farmers?

Funny, article has precisely ZERO remarks from the SA government about this “headache”. A link in the story to gov. sources says they don’t go around arresting heads of state.
So headache seems to be centered in Washington, not in SA.
