Like the 74-year old who proudly went out and got her degree. What’s next medical school? Who subsidized it?
There wasn’t a medevac. He made it
Thanks for adding cheer to thus inspirational story.
I'm all for encouraging and recognizing the feat.
A few weeks back, I happened to be at the Bright Angel trailhead. It was clearly iced over in places, muddy in others. Lacking crampons, I stayed on the rim trail.

Why put such a grim spin on a happy story?
The same people that pay for the helicopter that flies a golfer struck by lightning off the golf course, or the same people that pay for a helicopter to fly a drowning victim from a lake to the hospital. The taxpayers.
