(NEXSTAR) – As people continue to shift back to pre-pandemic social and recreational activities — even if they are still working remotely — a new study has broken down the best U.S. cities in which to work, learn, hang out and generally enjoy oneself in 2023.
Niche, a data analysis company, used Census data, surveys and other info sources to break down the best cities in the U.S., taking into account the cost of living, safety, school quality, nightlife, walkability, outdoor activities and more.

Cities are still livable? Definition of ‘livable’ must be really loose.
I am surprised that San Francisco ever made their list.
College towns are WAY over-represented. Their standards are likely different than our standards.
This list is trash.
Apparently liveability means taxed to death. Because that’s what they do in liberal Ukraine flag waving Columbia MD.
Cambridge was unaffordable 35 years ago. It hasn’t gotten cheaper.
Sandy Springs GA? You have got to be kidding me! 😆. Its a great place to live if you like to spend 30 minutes every time you want to go up the street to the grocery. The traffic is horrendous. I try to avoid ever having to go over there.
“Seattle”
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!¡
I have got to the point where anything “The Hill” prints is is going to be BS. And this sure is unless you are some kinda left wing nut.
Pretty much destroys the credibility of their list.
For Democrats

Lots of places in Florida mentioned in the top 100 or so. Gainesville was listed highest of all of those. Interesting.
Taxes, business regulations, gun laws, democrat controlled, “green” agenda etc. also not considered.
“The city, which is also home to Harvard, “offers residents an urban feel”.
I’ve got your “urban feel” right here!
Stopped once for gas there, thinking it would be a nice area like Irvine - another uni. town.
Got out of my car and saw two guys with tats and bandanas walking to me either side of the car. Got right back in and shot out of there!!
They were probably the official Berkeley welcome wagon.
