Yellen calls climate change ‘existential threat’ after GOP lawmaker labels it ‘trojan horse’ for spending

Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen on Wednesday pushed back against a GOP congressman who voiced skepticism about the threat of climate change, suggesting the issue was being used by the Biden administration to secure funding and was not a serious concern.

“Can you provide to me, or do you know any research on your own to justify this drastic climate change that we have to do today or the next four or five years this world’s going to come to an end?” Rep Jerry Carl (R-Ala.) asked Yellen at a hearing on the banking system.

Yellen is a unqualified piece of trash.

All these people in this failed administration are leftist activist freaks, and they are very proactive.

Only the left would have the arrogance to say that spending month will change the weather. Only the left would believe such nonsense.

But there is a higher purpose to all this: International socialism.

I would like just one climate change proponent of massive government taxation and theft to tell me when, in the history of the planet, the climate didn’t change.

Alexander Hamilton established the US Department of the Treasury specifically to fight the scourge of carbon dioxide. I read it in the NYT.

She’s primarily not fit for the job because she is a proponent of MMT - Modern Monetary Theory!
She’s a whole spectrum of “unfit” positions, ideas, beliefs & attitudes for the job.

Face it, Yellen is not an expert on anything, not finance or economics and much less the climate.

"Yellen calls climate change ‘existential threat’ after GOP lawmaker labels it ‘trojan horse’ for spending"

Why don't "business as usual" GOP lawmakers point out that the states have never expressly constitutinally given the very corrupt, post-17th Amendment ratification feds the specific power to deal with politically correct issues like government-manufactured global warming crisis?

In fact, the drafters of the Constitution limited the fed's powers to deal with public safety to suspension of the Writ of Habeas Corpus during times of rebellion and invasion.

"Article I, Section 9, Clause 2: The Privilege of the Writ of Habeas Corpus shall not be suspended, unless when in Cases of Rebellion or Invasion the public Safety may require it [emphasis added]."

Regarding constitutionally enumerated limits on federal public safety responsibilities, note that the drafters had also made Article IV, Section 4 to require the feds to STAND DOWN to domestic violence unless a state formally requests federal assistance to help stop it.

"Article IV, Section 4 (4.4): The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government, and shall protect each of them against Invasion; and on Application of the Legislature, or of the Executive (when the Legislature cannot be convened) against domestic Violence [emphases added]."

So-called "federal" power to police environmental protections is simply not found in the widest interpretation of federal constitutional public safety responsibilities imo.

"In every event, I would rather construe so narrowly as to oblige the nation to amend, and thus declare what powers they would agree to yield, than too broadly, and indeed, so broadly as to enable the executive and the Senate to do things which the Constitution forbids." —Thomas Jefferson: The Anas, 1793.

Put Janet Yellen out to pasture. I’ll spring for a nice big garden bonnet for her.

Most Americans today run out of month before the end of the money.
