It depends. If he did not expense or try to write-off his legal expenses, then again...no crime.
If Bragg intends to get that deep into the weeds, then he is just praying every single person on the jury is an ardent never-Trumper, like many of the people on FR nowadays.
RE: If he did not expense or try to write-off his legal expenses, then again...no crime.
Well, there’s the problem. We’re all hoping that he did not expense or try to write-off his legal expenses, but that’s probably where Bragg did his legal colonoscopy.
But worse comes to worst, let’s assume Trump did that, what should be the penalty? It ought to be a fine and that’s it.
If our assumption holds ( and that’s a big IF ), then his “crime” is similar to Hillary Clinton’s campaign in 2016.
The Federal Election Commission has fined Hillary Clinton’s 2016 campaign $8,000 and the Democratic National Committee $105,000 for obscuring their funding of the “Steele dossier,” a 2016 opposition research report that sought to highlight alleged links between Donald Trump and Russia.
It can be argued that Clinton’s crime was WORSE than Trump’s since Trump was clearly the victim here. In Trump’s case ( if indeed they have a case ), who’s the victim other than his wife and family?
