I support Donald Trump’s right to express his opinion on this matter.

The media just hates it when trump tells the truth, as it is.

for better or worse Trump is right on this.

I would have liked if Trump had decided not to run and had simply supported DeSantis which I feel could have beat Biden easily.

But that was not to be, Trump is running and no one, including DeSantis will be able to beat him.

Trump may be a shoo-in for the Republican nomination, but I don’t believe that he can win the general election. It would have been better if Trump had not chosen to run again, but his ego would not permit it. And his inability to win the general isn’t because he is a hardline conservative. He is a populist, not a conservative. So we have the worst of both worlds: A conservative doesn’t get the nomination, and a Democrat wins the Presidency.

It is going to be a rough next few years.

Presuming we can defeat further election fraud, we need to squeeze four more years out of President Trump, so that we can then follow with eight years with the likes of DeSantis. After that, another eight of Kari Lake. (At least that’s how I want it to go down in fantasy Little Billy World).

Trump is right.

DeSantis has no pathway to POTUS in 2024.

He will only hurt the GOP, and his own future chances at POTUS, if he chooses to run.

If DeSantis is smart he’ll get behind Trump and forego this election. The republican party is in transition and he’s likely to be pulverized in the middle if he goes ahead now. Watch and learn Ron. It will sereve you well down the road.

Nice, ita called an off ramp, even suggesting future support (or at least not trying to utterly destroy him). I like this approach. Of course Desanctimonius is certain the world needs him now because Rove and Ryan told him so. Trump knows what he’s willing to do and it won’t be pretty.

I don’t think the party wants him....the Dems do.

I live near Tallahassee and amazed how many think Desantis would go up to DC and just turn the place around. Desantis has a super majority in Florida. That will not exist while in DC. I dont know why people can’t grasp that concept.

I think he’s right. DeSantis would do better to wait for 2028. That being said, I think Trump will lose because there are a lot of people who will vote against their own interests simply because they hate Trump.

He’ll have a stronger chance if he focuses on his policies, achievements as president and his vision for the future as opposed to continuing to complain about how he was cheated and oppressed (which he undoubtedly was).

IMHO

Trump is right it will divide the party and boost the Dems. Because DeSantis is so far back in the polls the only way he has a chance of changing things is by seriously attacking Trump in the primary. And every negative thing DeSantis says about Trump will just become Dem talking points during the general. It’s obvious DeSantis can’t win so why is he running? Just to hurt Trump and please his GOPe establishment donors? The last election was stolen from Trump and he deserves a second shot to right the wrong that was done to him. So why would DeSantis choose now of all times to run when he probably would have been a shoo-in in ‘28? Only deranged anti-Trumpers support DeSantis running now.

The GOP is divided already, but at this point in time, if Trump isn’t on the ballot, I won’t be voting for anyone. I won’t hold my nose ever again, to vote for someone I don’t know, or like, just because they’ve got an R behind their name. I did that for two many years, and that’s why we are where we are today, particularly, with a Senate full of Republican a-holes.

Seems Trump is a bit concerned over DeSantis’ candidacy, which hasn’t even been declared yet. I think his fear is justified.

DeSantis has a book out.

You can read and decide if he is the right guy.

Trump had four years and Republican majorities in the House and Senate for two of them as I recollect.

I voted for The Great Governor DeSantis to be Governor for another four years. If DeSantis runs for POTUS he will lose. The Democrats will not allow a DeSantis to become POTUS. Biden (or another corrupt Dem) will once again garner 81 million votes and just the right number of votes in those chosen states. Florida will lose a great Governor for what, a pipe dream?

It didn’t hurt Reagan to run against Ford in 1976

I’d like DeSantis to rake in some cash as he’s been doing then in the coming months announce his support for Trump and say he will actively campaign for him.
