The leader of an online group behind suspected US military document leaks is national guardsman Jack Teixeira, officials have told NBC News.
Teixeira, 21, is said to have overseen a private online group, containing around 30 people, in which the leaked documents were shared.
He is a member of the intelligence wing of the Massachusetts Air National Guard, according to interviews and documents reviewed by The New York Times.
Officials told Sky News' US partner network, NBC News, that they have been on to him for some time and that an arrest is imminent.
While their accuracy has been questioned, the leaked documents appear to reveal potential vulnerabilities in Ukraine's defences, as well as the numbers of UK special forces allegedly active in the country.
Known as "OG" in the Discord chatroom, the suspect behind the leaks allegedly claimed to spend parts of his day inside a secure facility where phones were banned, according to a story published by the Washington Post.

When I graduated from BMT everyone automatically got one stripe except the 6 year guys got two.
Some pictures I see now show slick sleeves at graduation but this guy has been in three years?!?! He should be at least an E-3.

You don’t earn stripes in basic. You can earn stripes upon enlistment with college hours or being an Eagle Scout or several other avenues.

The NSC s a very high level. An NCO can be assigned the NSC. Anyone with the expertise and knowledge can be assigned the NSC.
Why is everyone hung up on low level, high level, being 21 years old etc.
A TS clearance is not dependent on age or “level”.
My memory is some coming out of basic as E-2s and E-3s, in fact, a lot of E-2s.
