Exclusive — Kash Patel Questions Emerging Narrative on Pentagon Leaks: ‘This Is an Extensive Cover-Up’
Breitbart ^ | 15 Apr 2023 | KRISTINA WONG

Posted on 04/15/2023 12:41:27 PM PDT by E. Pluribus Unum

Kash Patel, former chief of staff at the Pentagon and former deputy director of National Intelligence, in an exclusive interview with Breitbart News on Friday, questioned the evolving narrative over the Pentagon leaks — specifically that a 21-year-old Massachusetts Air National Guard reservist acted alone to leak top secret military data.

Patel, a former federal prosecutor, said he does not believe “for a single second, this guy — a 21-year-old Air National Guardsman — ran this operation alone.”

Patel said, first, the suspected leaker, Jack Teixeira, would not have had access to the information without someone within the Department of Defense (DOD) or the intelligence community giving it to him, providing it to him, or telling him it should be put out there. “It’s just not possible,” he said.

He said even though he worked in information technology (IT), he still would not have had access to the information.

“You can be the biggest IT person in DOD, and you are still compartmented off of the actual information. Almost never does an IT person need to know, as we say, the substance of the intelligence. Their job is to provide the secure informations systems around it to protect any disclosures,” he said.

“This is crazy sensitive stuff,” he said. “Ninety-nine percent of people who have a Top Secret/SCI clearance don’t have access to this information. And me, as the former deputy DNI and chief of staff of the DOD and publisher of the [Presidential Daily Brief], with the highest security classification, knows that, literally, there is not a lot of people in the U.S. that have access to this kind of intel. It’s done for a reason. So this doesn’t happen.”

Love Kash, but let me guess.

We “have to get to the bottom of it”™

We’re not “ taking our country back”.

Time to get serious about fortifying red areas and building separate, parallel systems.

Could be a CIA/FBI Ops to instigate and “root out” right-wing extremists…
Then it got spread out and into the open and they had to shut it down. I do not doubt that at all.

The kid will be gone for life. Meanwhile, vette docs? Meh! Not like they were “’secret, secret’”.

Yeah and he’s, also, assuming that any of this “leaked” stuff is, actually, true.

I said this somewhere back. Someone is responsible for this kid having this information. Don’t expect that to ever be a topic of investigation or holding anyone else accountable.

All that matters is a narrative, and most certainly not the truth. And as egregious as the narrative may be, it works in terms of diffusing the dilemma.

What is even more telling (and so typical of our security state and hyper-political elites)

The arrest of this super-secret leaker and great threat to national security - just happened to be filmed by multiple news organizations, on the ground and from the air.

Who organized them all to be there just at the right time, in broad daylight?

Its pure manipulation folks - don’t be duped.

At least one on the pages was CIA material so it did not come from any AF base; therefore, the story is something other than what it purports to be.

Good catch. There is so much that does not add up, becuase there is not supposed to be any way it could happen.

I can see a case of:

Old technologically challenged General: Why can’t I get this font the right size? Hey, airman, I’m going to send you this presentation. Fix the font on slide 23.

Just kidding, sort of.

‘Almost never does an IT person need to know, as we say, the substance of the intelligence. Their job is to provide the secure informations systems around it to protect any disclosures,” he said.’

As much as I want this to be exposed as another IC dirty op, Mr. Logic asks who is in a better position to steal information than those who “provide the secure informations systems around it to protect [against] any disclosures.”

Whether he is 100% guilty, completely innocent, or somewhere in between, focusing on the “leaker” distracts from bigger fish, such as:
1) the ugly implications of the leak contents;
2) the disasterous incompetence of a Biden IC and DoD that let the leak happen.
3) assuming it’s not Hillary Clinton or TikToc, who DOES handle network security designs and implementation for the CIA and DoD? Surely it’s not 21 year-old ANG E3’s. How much did the taxpayers spend to get worthless network security?
4) who else has had access to it that hasn’t been noticed? Are other tranches of data yet to surface, or are tey being used by adversaries who don’t desire that we know what they have, and how they have it?

When I was an E3 serving at Galena AFB in 1958, sensitive communications were performed by an E3 locked in a communications closet. At the end of his shift he was allowed to leave his closet to pee or eat chow. He carried a .45 at all times and no one was allowed to speak with him. He was an E3 but had direct access to the base commander and no officer f’d with him. He had a cripto clearance and everybody was at awe with him. He had more privileges than any enlisted man including officers to the rank of captain. Rumor had it that he did not even make up his bed. Communications were basic and included the use of a ticker tape. After his shift was over he walked with the tapes to a trash can accompanied by an E4 with a M1 carabine. The tape was burned in the trash can and the E4 made sure that only ashes remained. No one approached the trash can during the burn. Even the base commander treated him with respect. We never knocked on the closet door for fear of being shot through the door.

I completely agree. The tragedy will be that this will not happen before cataclysms strikes because of normalcy bias. Of course, most good folks will get caught flatfooted and breathing through their mouths when things suddenly get "real."

Now it's time for a friendly reminder. . . Q: How did the US get to the point it is currently at? A: Because good men did not prevent the Marxist Left from capturing and then defiling, perverting and corrupting every major institution in America.
