The property owners applied for a demolition permit in February. Do you think the city bureaucrats will fast track it now?

I don’t think it just “went up in flames”. I think it was set fire to by the squatters. City leaders should be personally liable for reimbursing the owner (unless he/she/it is a liberal who just allowed the squatters take over).

Hundreds of bottles of 100 proof hootch would create a big inferno. I’m sure the bar owner left it all behind and nobody touched it.
No worries! The squatters will undoubtedly be taking over some other abode in the near future - if the city doesn't actually put them up in a 4-star hotel!

Happens all the time. Homeless, bums, drug addicts; start fires indoors for cooking and warmth. And crap gets burned down. They don’t care and just move on to the next one and do it again.
